Good luck for tomorrow, Munchkin! I hope your husband makes it in plenty of time. Can't wait to hear about your new arrival x

I'm just coming up to 31 weeks now. We had a bit of a scare last weekend as baby decided to stop moving for a day, so we were up at the hospital to be monitored. Thankfully she's just a little minx and is absolutely fine!

We've started our NHS antenatal classes too and I'm working through my online hypnobirthing course. It's all starting to feel a bit real!
  • Thank you. Off for a scan today.
Both excited but mainly terrified about tomorrow. I’ve never been in hospital before. And I’m worried I’m taking too much stuff with me. And I’m well I’m just a bit apprehensive about everything.
Today could be the last full day I’m pregnant. Which is weird. Been feeling sick each morning this week which might be nerves or hormones. But have actually slept better the last couple of nights.
Hope everyone else is ok. These babies certainly know how to scare us don’t they.

Try and get as much rest as you can munchkin. Adrenaline will get you through tomorrow but it is exhausting! If you haven't got them already - take sugary drinks such a lucazade or those little juice boxes. Once things get going they don't let you eat and you need some energy!
  • Thank you. I’ve got some of the still lucozade type drinks. Scan went well this morning. The consultant was great. He explained he’s looking for five things.
Heartbeat, blood flow, fluid, movement and growth and everything apart from the growth is good so he’s not concerned that there is a problem just that baby is small.
I was only five pounds something when I was born a month early and husband was six pounds something so maybe we’re just destined not to have a huge baby.
Feel slightly sad that I will miss my bump and I really didn’t think i would.
Popped into work and been told I’m too calm about tomorrow.
I feel like I’m taking too much stuff with me but it’s hard as you don’t know how long you will be there.

Good luck for your induction tomorrow Munchkin, I am pleased to hear your husband will be here for the birth! :) And I am sure its better to pack too heavy than wish you had packed something that isn't to hand!

Has anybody had a pregnancy massage? My back and shoulders are really aching and I am thinking of getting a massage to try and ease the pain!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You are on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the woman who will decide where to go

  • Thanks. I had a mum to be massage. They laid me on my side, massages my back legs and feet which was lovely. She then asked if I wanted my bump touched or not and then lightly exfoliated it and put a citrus smelling cream on it which made baby kick.
    It was all lovely.
