  • Been to MAU today as baby hadn’t been as wiggly as normal this morning.
No sooner was I being monitored then he went crazy. Little !!!!!!.
And apparently loved dancing to the bee gees when it came on the radio while i was there.
Then had a Doppler scan too and everything is fine.
34+3 today. In a way I just want him out now but in many ways I don’t just yet. Want him to cook a little longer.
    Hope everyone is well.
  • Thanks, Becca. :)

I'm sooooo tired! Had my 28 week bloods last week and they haven't contacted me so I assume I'm not anaemic, but this does not feel right. I could just sleep all day!
  • Rambosmum, I wouldn't assume that. I was anaemic at my 28 week bloods (granted not hugely) but I didn't find out until I went to my next midwife appointment, if you're concerned I'd call.

36+2 today, I started my maternity leave on Thursday and having had a few days pottering round the house getting jobs done, I thought it would feel weird not going back. But honestly I quite like it, we have loads of work to do on the house so I'm keeping busy (between naps).

I'm definitely starting to feel pressure as baby starts to engage - can't wait now.

4 weeks tomorrow and I go on leave - 4 weeks annual leave then mat leave starts. Can't wait. I love my job but I am so tired, and I want to nest! And nap!

I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow so will ask for my blood results then.

Last time I went on leave at 36 weeks, thinking I'd have 2 weeks for Christmas then 2 weeks of rest/ pottering. I had 2 weeks of mad rushing for Christmas and New Year, then a baby! I did not want a repeat of that this time so I'm having 2 weeks of Christmas rush then 4 weeks of rest!

I've got a growth scan on Monday as my bump is measuring a bit big (30 weeks at 28+4). Hopefully it's just a big bump and not a huge baby in there!

It's a month till I stop working - I'm self-employed though so planning to use January just to get everything tied up admin-wise and finish off anything outstanding, but officially I'm stopping taking on work from Christmas. I'm not taking maternity allowance until the week before the baby arrives, though.

We start our antenatal classes in a couple of weeks!

I’m 18 weeks on Saturday and they’ve put me on 400mg ferrous sulphate, which seems a lot as it works out 60g of iron so I must have been really low on iron. Plus thyroid meds been upped. But it wasn’t mentioned until I went to the app last Friday until my 16 week app

After I had DS they put me on 400mg twice daily for a month, I was in hospital for 3 days post birth as they couldn't decide whether to give me a blood transfusion! I think if it doesn't cause constipation or black stools then it means you really need it! I'll speak to the midwife today, as I do feel really rotten. It could of course also be my thyroid meds, but they were on the very lowest end last check up so I think it's more likely my iron. Or just being pregnant and having a lot on at home and at work!

Ah you saying that puts my mind at ease as I’m on 200mg twice a day, so it’s not too too bad. I’d deffo get it checked. My thyroid meds have been upped 50mg as it’s on the high scale which she said normally they would leave, but being pregnant it’s had to be upped. Try and not burn the candle at both ends, take it easy :)

  • Finished work now. Maternity leave starts Monday.
    It’s all getting real now.
I’ve joined a Facebook group for babies due December and am getting a little freaked out about how many babies are (sometimes very) early.
Baby has been very wiggly recently which is nice. Got another growth scan Thursday so I’m hoping his growth is on track.
    Hope everyone is well x
