Oh LemonTree how frustrating and irritating. Babycentre says the following:

'By the time you reach your due date, just over a third of your extra weight will come from your baby, the placenta and amniotic fluid. Here are some averages:
    • At birth, a baby weighs about 3.3kg (7.3lb).
    • The placenta, which keeps your baby nourished, weighs 0.7kg (1.5lb).
    • The amniotic fluid, which supports and cushions your baby, weighs 0.8kg (1.8lb).
The other two thirds of extra weight is due to the changes that happen to your body while you're pregnant. On average:
    • The muscle layer of your uterus (womb) grows dramatically, and weighs an extra 0.9kg (2lb).
    • Your blood volume increases, and weighs an extra 1.2kg (2.6lb).
    • You have extra fluid in your body, weighing about 1.2kg (2.6lb).
    • Your breasts weigh an extra 0.4kg (0.9lb).
    • You store fat, about 4kg (8.8lb), to give you energy for breastfeeding.

Quite how you can do all that and not put on ANY weight I don't know.

Nobody can influence me like my mother - for better or worse. If you never respond back she'll never know how you feel and it'll churn inside. It's that mythical balanced rational response that explains how you feel without being 'snappy' (my most common feedback from my mother). You can tell how much success I have at that.

I have put on something like 4 or 5lbs due to spending all day in bed eating fruit (disguised as starchy carbs like crisps, ahem)

Anyone else have an OH they could kill at times?
We agreed if he went out yesterday golfing & boozing yesterday we could do something I wanted to today!
As you can imagine that is not the case!
I want to go to the asda baby event near us but he said we can go but we aren't buying anything! So I reminded him I only have 4 wages until baby arrives & he needs to get his finger out, and start saving with me!
So as u can imagine, he asked have I got the spare room sorted?! What's the f**king point if we can't afford to decorate it or buy bedding etc!!!

Also we were out at a friends house on Saturday & one of the girls started gobbing off because when I was asked would I BF I said I wanted to try breast feeding & hoped it worked for me! Dear lord she went off on one! Wishing me luck because I needed it & how it's impossible to set a routine or know how much your baby is getting when you are BF! Sorry love but I don't remember asking your opinion!

Rant over - for now lol!

Is an og a dh? Then yes! Although as I mentioned he's been lovely recently. I'm lucky that he isn't a drinker I think, although I know better than to suggest doing anything when Liverpool is playing. :)

Having a bit of a down day today for some (probably hormonal) reason. Woke up with a terrible headache, stomach and backache. Worried of course, but I think it's just our old friend constipation. Feeling better now, but still with this cold and headache, and therefore feeling a bit down on myself. Had upsetting anxiety dreams too which doesn't help.

I've got a scan on Wednesday so I think it's worth about that causing me stress, combined with returning to work after this long break. Work makes me nervous for some reason after a long break!

I've taken myself out of the house as I'm getting cabin fever. Out for a nice lunch, and now a walk around Westfield. Nothing like some retail therapy.

Og was a typo! I was referring to my husband lol!
To be fair I have probably called him worse :D

We ended up going out for a nice walk to the forest park & stopped for ice cream on the way back. He has also promised to do the hoovering so back in the good books for now lol

T2D I had a real tough time last week. I am generally constipated but one day last week I got bad cramps & had the runs (sorry if tmi). I went into panic mode as when I had a mc the first I noticed I was bleeding was after going to the toilet with the runs! I could not shake that thought & ended up off work the next day! I cried because I broke my glasses too! Hormones are hard work lol!

there must be something in the air with OH/DH's today. I suggested to mine that as it was a lovely day today we could do some gardening and take the dog for a nice walk. his response was to clean the almost already clean house whilst the dog and I did the weeding in the back garden. I know he did do something but his priorities always seem weird if you know what I mean, guess it's women v man logic. He's also obsessed about sorting out the craft room which will become the nursery, so far I've pretty much done most of the sorting out (we need to sort other rooms so we can move stuff around - not that he can see that) and he's had a mini strop when I asked him to put some stuff in the loft.
I do love him dearly though. I think somewhere in my head though I don't want to really take the big step of making the major room changes till after the 20 week scan which is silly considering the furniture is already bought and is in boxes in the garage.

My oh didn't get a chance today, I woke up and decided we were off to the beach with my 3 step kids and puppy. Oh said no he couldn't be bothered so rather than argue I told the kids that we would go without him, ten seconds later he's in the shower ready for a day out! We had a fantastic day, our pups first time to the beach and he was so well behaved. It's been glorious sunshine and I really feel I've blown some cobwebs away :)

very jealous monty-dog would love to take my puppy to the beach but she suffers from travel sickness so it kind of makes me reluctant.

lilmiss, thanks for the advice about weight gain, maybe I should print it off and leave it around for my mum.
  • OH is lucky in that all I wanted to do was catch up with emails, book my train tickets to Gatwick on Thursday for a long weekend to Barcelona with a friend and get my work stuff together. He managed to play something like 4 hours straight of a computer game and given himself a headache so asleep now. I had a 90 min nap earlier so will make it to 10pm.

    Living the dream!

V welcome. Not so much because I'm worried about putting on now but am bizarrely concerned about losing it after as don't see how I can exercise enough to shift it as I am lazy enough about exercising now.

Ah well. It is what is, uh?

I lost almost a stone and a half in the first 9 weeks. I've only put 2lb back on in the last 3-4 weeks.

However I'm starting to feel a bit more normal now and eating is getting better, and having given up work I've got to be careful!
