Which one? The entitledto one? As long as you know your income I found it quite good to use.

If you are struggling though you can make a free appointment at welfare rights. They have offices in a lot of public libraries, you'll need to google the nearest one to you. They can tell you what you will be able to claim.

I tried to fill in the entitlement checker but it's too complicated.

I also started but gave up very quickly. Don't know why I bothered anyway as hubby is a pretty high earner so we are never entitled to anything!

Bit confused about the national insurance thing though. I probably won't go back to work so not sure how it all works. Oh well plenty of time to figure it out!

Got back form holiday yesterday and tiredness from about 20 hours of travelling added to jet lag has brought my sickness right back :( boo. Got to go to work tomorrow so hoping it is not too bad.

I know it is really wrong but I am already starting to feel very distant from work! I will finish in July as I am a teacher so I just won't go back after the summer...and the thought that I am only there for three more months (one week of which will be half term) makes me feel really over it already. I know that is so bad and in reality I do really love it and will miss it when I am gone but....a big part of me wants to just have the next three months out of the way. Bad!

We cleared what will be the baby's room today! I say we....I mean completely hubby and not at all me, lol. He has been so good, he has worked solidly today. It was not a room we really used, but it had a huge filing cabinet in it, a desk, a chest of drawers and a bookcase. All were empty except the filing cabinet, which contained paper work from about the last 5 years....all of which hubby had to go through and sort, which took hours. Then he had to dismantle all the furniture and move it out. But now we have a lovely clear room ready for the plasterer to come and do the ceiling on Saturday, and then the decorator will come some time after that. It makes it feel VERY real to have that room cleared!

Hope everyone else is well :)

When I stopped was when having to put in hubby's pension contributions and stuff. I don't even have that info to hand for myself, though I could make a guess, but I had no idea for him. Does seem like a very useful site though.

Aww what a productive day! We can't even start baby's room until we've had the loft conversion done, my oh has three children from his previous relationship and they stay here 3 nights a week plus holidays so they have the other bedrooms. Were converting the loft so ds can go up there which will give him more room to play and then the smaller bedroom can be a nursery. It's still a good size room, but perfect for baby.
It going to be a couple of months I should imagine before it's all done and I'm so impatient!

Not being in work isn't good for me. I've too much time on my hands and I feel so lethargic it's untrue.
  • Ha ha no problems for us at the moment. DH finishes his under grad english degree this year and we hope he will have temporary job before starting teacher training in Spetember 2015 (not including the pay free summer school for 6 weeks next summer) so I'm sure we are eligible!
    Met DH to be 2010
    Moved in and engaged 2011
    Married 2012
    Bought a house 2013
    Expecting our first 2014 :T
  • I was a bit like that Daisiegg, I'm thinking I might have another go when our p60s arrive!

We've got bedroom furniture in room that will be nursery but it was painted magnolia very recently so should be relatively easy to transform after 20wk scan at some point. I think I know the furniture we will be buying and knowing hubby he will have some ideas which incorporate Disney characters or the like!

Daisiegg and peonie, since you are at a similar stage to new, how are the bumps developing? I'm still not really showing at all although my clothes are getting a little tight. I'm back up to my pre-operation weight, which is basically 1kg or so more than my starting weight. My bmi started at 31 so I don't need to gain weight really.

I was worried about gaining far too much weight, but now I want a bump! Even hubby complained the other day I wasn't getting fat enough (bless him). He reprimanded me and told me to remember to eat for two!

I'm also feeling remarkably normal which worries me of course!

No benefits for us, I'm a walking talking tax generating machine. The government loves me! Earn enough to pay lots of tax, but not enough to pay for fancy tax structures. In a way at least Im getting to use some of the taxes in medical benefits.

I'm 13+2 approx and I have quite a big bump but it's from right under the bust line, really high up! I still have a flabby lower belly which I hate. I'm scared if I'm big now I'm going to end up like a house!

Is it your first Monty? That high up sounds like bloating to me to be honest. My tummy is very soft, and a bit changed by the operation so I'm not sure what is baby and what is scar tissue. The scar line is really hard, which means I can't feel for the ridge that people talk about. I *think* it's all getting more firm down there, but I'm really not sure.

Remind me of this in a month when I'm complaining about being too big. ;)
