Hooray another shorty! I'm 5ft so not much taller than you! To be honest I'm struggling already so I dread to think what I'll be like towards the end when she's even bigger! I popped at 15-16 weeks but over the past 3 weeks or so I've gotten massive lol

Great bump! I'm very tall - 5'9'' so maybe the baby will take a while to appear. Never thought about that...

Crikey this thread has moved quickly since I last looked earlier this evening!!!

I'm just completely bloated and getting fatter, I was on 5:2 before I got pregnant and lost 21lbs....I think most of that has gone back on already! Work trousers are tight and I've resorted to wearing a vest top under the work shirts which are now fastened with only 2 buttons. I've told them I'm not spending a fortune on maternity trousers for a few months wear when I wouldn't spend a fortune on them normally. I've been to sports direct and bought yoga trousers which will see me through! As long as they're black I don't think they mind too much. Think I will be into them next week if I carry on feeling as uncomfortable as I have been this week.
My replacement starts next Monday for me to train up before I move into a new post where i won't be required to go out on site so at least sometimes I'll get away with leggings as I will only have to put the safety shoes on occasionally!

I have 3 step kids, the eldest lives with us and the other two come every second weekend. They all have their own room so tonight we got into moving beds about, the youngest 2 (boy and girl) will share when they're here and eldest will still have his own space. There would be fights if we putt he bots together! Dismantled the big bed in big bedroom and stripped down the wee room ready for things to be moved about. Got a bed frame and some chests of drawers to get rid of, a single bed to buy, and then we can finish off that room, get the wee room emptied and get ready to turn it into baby's room.

Did you all know that Aldi have a baby event starting on Thursday? I can't get out of work to go so I've got my mum heading to her local store to see if she can put up some bits for me. Full details of what's included are on their website.

  • Purcy your bump is lovely.

I went through the stage of just looking fat and not pregnant but it does soon come around and you end up with a bump.

Hope no one minds but this is my bump. Excuse me looking a mess I'm busy cleaning.

Lovely bump Disney. I had a good poke this morning and I'm definitely getting a slightly firmer tummy. Definitely no more sucking in my tummy.

    Off to mw appointment now.

    Ladies

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and everything looks fine so I'm moving on up :D.

It was amazing seeing sproglet on screen, apparently was still for the measurements then was dancing around waving it's arms and kicking.

My BMI is 32 so have already been booked in for the glucose test. I've also got an appointment with an obstretric consultant, an anesthetist consultant and sproglet has it's first appointment booked with my genetic counsellor when it's 8-12 weeks old due to my having a neurological condition which I have a 50/50 chance of passing on.

    Exciting times ahead.

Also to add in to the bump/bloat conversation I'm definitely all bloat at the moment but can feel the ridge that's been mentioned. I've gained a stone since January but I'm hoping that my eating will calm down and I'll be able to either maintain or lose a little bit of weight as I lost 3 stone prior to getting pregnant and don't want to put it all back on with the excuse of eating for two :rotfl:

I've added myself to the list too.

Hello and welcome alioops :hello: That first scan is so amazing isn't it? I can't wait for my next one.

Hope everyone's scans and appointments go well today x

Talking of bumps, the past week mine has totally popped out. I deffo look pregnant. Unfortunately I am getting fat everywhere! At 5'7' I was always on the skinny side, now my !!!!! is the size of a bus! I don't recognise myself in the mirror at all. Going to a massive family wedding abroad soon as well so that will be nice in front of the in-laws :)

    Not complaining though!

Feeling much better this week and am back in work.

    Afternoon ladies, loving the bumps!

People are noticing mine and I love it! Someone the other day said they had heard I was expecting, then looked me up and down and said "obviously!" lol usually I would be offended but I couldn't help but smile. I don't know why when you are preggers that people think it's OK to comment on your appearance!

I've just ordered a doppler and I am so excited! I always said I would never get one when I got pregnant and always thought people who had them where a bit strange but now I totally get it and can't wait to use it!
