Mine popped out at 15wks T2D! Relatively small at 1st and soft but now got firmer the last couple of days and looks bigger after lunch then dinner....
The bottom if my bump there is a kind of ridge and it pretty much goes straight in at the bottom. Weird thing is it seems relatively flatish in the morning!!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
I'm 16 weeks tomorrow, and will be seeing the midwife, so I'll get her opinion too. Last doctors I saw were a bit sniffy about my weight, but I think that was mainly massive swelling from the operation. The week before at the 12 week scan all seemed fine. Hopefully they will tell me all looks OK. I can't hear the heartbeat on my angel sounds Doppler though which is a bit frustrating too. Hope baby is well and happy in there.
I think I get scan anxiety. The closer I to one the more I worry.0 -
Yes it's my first. I think some of it prob is bloating as I suffered with constipation but that seems to have sorted itself the past two weeks.
As long as I don't get mahoosive I don't mind.
It's weird because I do actually look pregnant even if it is bloating!0 -
Oh my scan is on Thursday at 3.
I can't wait!0 -
Hopefully she will be able to reassure you T2D - we don't get 16wk appt here, next is 20wk scan then 22wk midwife.
Meant to say my BMI was 31 as well! I think people just carry differently and there is no good or bad/ right or wrong as long as all ok in there!
I swing between worrying there is not much there first thing and there must be something wrong to feeling big in the evening and worrying I will be huge by the end!
I think we will worry and compare whatever the situation..!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -
Yes I agree a high 'bump' at 13 weeks is more likely to be bloating or something as I don't think the uterus moves up that quickly...but that said I am no expert so might be wrong! Pretty sure the uterus is still low at 13 weeks but who knows.
My belly is huge (though it was to begin with) ...getting a definite bump but annoyingly it is only the bottom half of my tummy, below the level of the belly button. If I am laying down I can feel my uterus there between my public bone and my belly button and that is where everything is sticking out. The top half has got bigger too (as evidenced by the stretch marks) but there is still a definite dip/crease level with my belly button making it more of a B shape than a D shape
think that might be to do with my being overweight to begin with. My BMI was 34 at booking in.
I can't WAIT to get a proper bump. Naked you can definitely tell it is a baby bump but under clothes I think I just look like I have a really fat tummy, to be honest. I find it looks better with waistbands that are either properly underneath it, or completely over it (like coming up to my boobs). Clothes that sort of cut it in half are NOT good.
It really started to pop out at around 15 weeks. I feel huge. Just can't wait for it to be a proper, clear, unmistakable pregnant bump rather than I just fat!0 -
My bmi was 34 too but I've lost a stone and a half since then and only put two pounds back on. I'm a size 16-18 and agree clothes with a high waistband look better.
I'll talk to the dr I'm there tomorrow about excessive bloating just to be safe. I've had that much surgery, bits removed, and god knows what else I've no idea where this poor baby is going to grow! I've lots of scars and worry what the stretching will do on the inside. I'm seeing my consultant on Monday to see about my stitches and what extra care I'll need. I'm annoyed it's been left so late but the woman who booked me in refused to do it any earlier.0 -
You'll just have to walk around naked then.
DH won't complain I'm sure.
B shape sounds about right. With the top of the B being massive boobs! Right where you talk about between pubic bone and belly button is where my healing scar is, so I'm not sure what I'm feeling. All I know is I'm not going to have one of those nice neat bumps but a big flabby one. Watching OBEM has been good for that actually, as you see that not all women have tight neat bumps like demi Moore in that picture all those years ago. (Showing my age there!)
Id love to look pregnant and not just fat too. I've been off work for 4 weeks and I think they are expecting a bump when I go back next week. Maybe I'll get one from a prop shop.0 -
Has it been four weeks already??? Wow how time flies! I'm so nervous about seeing the consultant. I'm actually nervous of the scan too in case anything has gone wrong. I think they are too far apart I'd have one daily if I could!0
-
I think there is no chance I will get a neat, tight bump and I am trying to resign myself to that. At the moment the bottom of my tummy/bump is saggy (like, hanging down a bit - YUK!) which is HORRIBLE - I don't know if it will ever firm up but I really hope so!
I have an old friend on FB who is pregnant too and since being pregnant we have been messaging...she is about 23 weeks and the other day sent me a picture of her bump. She was in bra and pants and made me sooooo jealous...she was thin to begin with so she just has a really neat, tight, beautiful bump and she looks all shapely and gorgeous. I just look like a blob!
I am wondering if anyone will notice at work tomorrow. Have been on holidays for two and a half weeks and that is really the time it has all popped out. I hope people will notice and I might wear something that accentuates it to make sure!0
