Ok I didn't mean to sound like we were at it all the time...lol...I think it has literally been about 6 times since getting BFP! Didn't help that I had horrible thrush and then just as it cleared up for me, we had sex and it must have not been completely gone cos hubby got it too and then that was another week and a half with no action
For the first 12 weeks I couldn't have cared less...but since hitting the second trimester I seem to have come over all, erm....:o a bit 'on heat'...lol!:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120 -

So part of me was relieved when I got pregnant that I've got an excuse for a while.

Hiya ladies!
I had my 20 week scan on Wednesday and all is well! We are team pink! Though little lady was shy about showing her bits, I am guessing the sonographer would have said she couldn't tell us if she wasn't fairly certain though!
I won't buy anything too girly though just incase, to be honest I am not a mega fan of pink flowery girly stuff anyway! I always think boys clothes are cuter.....:o
I know what pram I want just trying to see how to get a good deal, I am going to get the Graco Evo I think, mothercare do good deals on it but the colours are very bright, thinking of getting a yellow one but worried it might get grubby, black is very plain though although you can get coloured foot muffs off eBay to brighten it up.
The purple one I would like is currently not on a good deal.....
I have seriously itchy nipples towards end of the day...and I am still being sick occasionally too, brushing my teeth makes me retch still has done since about 6 weeks! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

wow sounds like you've had a busy day littlemissreading!
congrats on team pink littlemissmup x
hope you have a wonderful holiday daisiegg x
creditcrunch I'm also a bit worried about the drop in income thats coming up but luckily DH is the main earner (I work full time but only earn half as much as him grrrr) so I think we'll be ok. I get about 90% pay for the first 18 weeks anyway so don't need to worry too much about money just yet.
I've just been ebay shopping for little Purcy and managed to get 5 lots of swaddling for £15 in total including P&P so I'm extremely chuffed! I also have my eye on a travel system and will be purchasing it after we find out whether we are having a boy or girl so we know what colour to get!
We have also received our baby hammock in the post so they have something to sleep on when they get here now, is anyone else going the hammock route or going with moses baskets etc?
Our private gender scan is booked in for Monday at 3 and we're so excited to (hopefully) find out the sex of the baby, I really hope they cooperate this time!
Also I hate to say it but my sickness stuck around until about week 17/18 it just got less and less severe every week until it tailed out phew!
Hugs to all0 -
Ergh packing has been horrible! Never again will I go on a holiday with two vastly different climates (Boston - cold and rainy, Florida - boiling not)...it makes packing a nightmare!
and so many of my summer dresses from last year no longer fit. It isn't actually my belly so much, because most of my dresses are empire waisted anyway, but my giant boobs
I got all stressed and hot and bothered.
Doesn't help that I am still pretty nauseous so needing to pack loads of snacks...both for the plane (I have lots of food allergies so it is hit and miss whether or not I can eat the plane food) and to have ready for when we arrive. I still need to eat something small and dry pretty much hourly so needing to sort that out is really annoying!
Never mind....I am very excited and hopefully will have a great time.
Hope all you ladies are ok and good luck to anyone with scans coming up. We will have wi if everywhere so chances are I will be around but if not, have a good fortnight!0 -
credit_crunch wrote: »Does anyone else worry about how much this all costs & the income change of you get stat maternity pay? Don't get me wrong this baby has been 2 years in the making almost so I knew to start saving but just worried about how we will get by when I'm earning 50% less than I am now!
Hell yeah. We have £11000ish of works/furniture on our house to pay off. DH is currently finishing an undergraduate English degree to no money coming in and it's been £3000 fees a year (just glad he changed before the £9000 fees). He was not eligible for a student loanTherefore I am (and probably always will be) main wage earner (sole currently of course). We're going to be gumtree and ebay-ing like our lives depend on it and luckily our millimetre will be the first grandchild on both sides so am hoping there might be a bit of grandparent interest to compensate for there not being much to hand on.
Had heard of baby hammocks but never looked into before. How cute! We have an old cot from my dad's loft that we are going to try to re-use.

Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
We've been shopping today and picked up some socks and hat for baby, as well as a big pj top for me which will hopefully come in useful as it has buttons so might use it after birth for feeding.
Congrats to the ladies who've had successful scans. It's really exciting finally feeling like you can start to buy things and get ready for baby.
Enjoy your holiday daisie
I'm 25 weeks now so I guess I should move over to the big thread- eep! I'm sure I'll keep lurking here too to keep up with all your news and I'll see you all over there soon.
