Yes to headaches - had a stinking one today!

Yes to dry nips - they are also huge and brown - yuk!

Started getting the indigestion and heartburn now. Have been awake for a few hours in the middle of the night the last couple of nights with tummy ache and indigestion :( All fun and games!

Still so knackered. If I don't have an afternoon nap I am wrecked the next day.

Nevermind....it will all be worth it!
  • This is all so helpful - to hear other people get the same symptoms. It will all be worth it - having the space to moan about symptoms helps get me through to the meaningful bit

The midwife did say something about headaches but I don't remember what. In fact I don't remember much. But if they are persistent phone the hospital.

I think later on in the pregnancy (after twenty weeks?) if they are severe they can be a sign of pre-eclampsia.

If a headache is severe and unaffected by paracetamol it can be a pre-e indicator, as is pain under your ribs on the right, swelling in the hands, feet, face or neck and blurred vision or a lot of black spots in your vision. I had pre-e last time and the few days before I delivered I felt like I had flu, so amazingly tired and out if it...only sussed something was properly wrong when I started hallucinating purple goo running down the hospital walls!

  • Wow, purple goo?!

These are very mild headaches (not felt the need for paracetemol) but pre-pg I would usually only get dehydration headaches (hangovers and hot weather) so just surprised by sudden increase in frequency. I think given their mildness, tiredness is still a likely culprit.

  • Right not necessarily what this thread is for but I keep putting things off with the 'I'm tired and pg' line and need to pull my stuff together and get on. I have about 12 people coming for lunch tomorrow and if I tell you what I have to do, maybe I'll get on and do it! We moved in February and many jobs hanging over due to lying around and eating...

    Make chilli
    Make vegetarian chilli
    Put ornaments on shelves
    Put food away in pantry
    Put extensions on table
    Count chairs
    Lay table
    Chill drinks
    Ice cubes
    Put books on shelves
Move work files to sitting room
Hide mess under dressing table :D (I am aiming for good enough, not perfection)

Also having been nauseous but not actually sick, can anyone tell me why I threw my guts up on Friday at 12+4?! Grrr.

  • I have also had the odd headache, but suspect they are (work) stress related. I used to get quite bad migraines, but haven't had one since I stopped eating gluten.

Rather scary but I think we will buy a pushchair today. I wanted to wait until my 20 week scan but a fairly local shop now has the one we want in stock.

I felt a tiny flutter of movement at 18+0, then nothing until yesterday (19+2), but have been feeling little flutters on and off since yesterday lunchtime!!
  • :j how exciting to feel movement!!!

lilmiss, you can do it :D get all your chores done this morning then have a nap...that is what I would do ;)

I have to pack today...not a big deal, except it will involve lots of trying on clothes to figure out what actually fits. Not so fun!!

any name, very exciting to feel movement! I have been feeling tiny tiny flutters the last week or so but as I am only 13+3 they are very likely to just be wind. I guess when it happens properly I will know?!
