The only time DH and I DTD it felt like my insides were being rubbed by sand paper so I'll happily take a break for a while.

Today I noticed a couple of women's eye's darting to my belly. Maybe I'm being paranoid.

We're still waiting for the blood test results. They were supposed to be back today. I need to phone back on Monday.

I hope everyone else is well.

Not sure what bloods you are waiting for (sorry - must have missed it :o) but I was so frustrated when waiting for my antibody tests to come back...they said it would be a week and ended up being about 12 days. Really annoying and I was calling every day until eventually they told me to stop and wait for them to call me! Hope you get them on Monday.

I know I'm mental as well! and I desperately hope I don't turn into my mother but it's probably inevitable lol.
lilmiss well done for doing so much to face up to your fears :) didn't intend to sound rude about the donating blood thing. got someone at work who goes almost all hysterical when it comes to needles and she's insulin dependant for about 25 years, you'd have thought she would have tried to find a way to not feel so bad given her reaction, ok it may not work but it may do which has to be something to attempt when your life revolves around needles.

No apologies necessary - didn't take it as rude. Gave me an excuse to flaunt my miraculous achievement of donating blood under five times even though many people including my own DH have done it enough times to get a medal AND don't make a cry baby fuss. When I found out I was pg was one of my thoughts after the usual ones was 'I won't have to give blood for ages!' Not normal but then not a lot seems to be about me. Ah well.

PS if you want to see rude there is some HILARIOUS man having a tantrum on a thread about whether someone should treat their boyfriend's nephew as their own nephew or not.

I feel really guilty about not being able to donate blood now too lilmissreading. I tried to convince my OH to go on my behalf but he's too scared of the needle. Well done you for managing to get the better of your fear and donate anyway. I think it is a fantastic achievement :)

See Lemontree! You've got me lots of lovely praise now.

Thanks wangdoodle. It's a miserable place being stuck between guilt and fear isn't it!

Last night I had an interesting conversation with my mum. I always thought she would pressurise me to breast feed from the way she reacted when my sister (older than me) did not.

But she surprised me. She breastfed DSis for 2 weeks then switched. Persevered with me for 6 months but I would not stop crying. Then I had to stay overnight in hospital, they bottle fed me and it was the first night I slept through. Unfortunately mum was not producing enough milk.

Like I said, I'll give it a good go and at least I know I'm not going to get crazy pressure from mum as well.

Hi ladies, I've been trying to catch up for about 2 weeks but you chat more quickly than I can read when all I have is Dds naptime to catch up in, so I'm just jumping back in here. I think I only posted once or twice before we went away, I feel like I'm on the home straight now as I'm 19+1 and DD was born at 28+0, the notion that I could only be about halfway is an alien concept to me! DH booked a private scan for a mothers day pressie and we go in the morning, very excited to see our little wiggler again, and maybe find out what we're having.

I read the comments about giving blood with interest, I can't as I had ME as a teenager so I have a lifetime ban. DH is absolutely terrified of needles, but he does it ever since DD was in the nicu, she needed 2 transfusions and his attitude now is that someone else gave their blood and without it we wouldn't have our child, so the least he can do is do the same for someone else. I do have to go with him and hold his hand though as he shakes like a leaf when he gets there.
