We had our private scan yesterday and we're having a little boy this time! Was a brilliant experience, we'll worth the money, and he's measuring well for his dates which is very reassuring as DD was small at this stage which was a sign she wasn't coping well with my high BP.

Off to Italy tomorrow for a week, should be lovely.

  • My OH appears to be nesting- he wanted to buy some nursery furniture yesterday and I said we needed to sort the room out first. This morning he has shot off to B&Q to buy paint :rotfl:

Congratulations to those who've recently had scans.

    Daisie, enjoy your holiday.

An interesting new symptom today - vomiting. Seriously! I hope it's 'just' a bug.

I thought I was over the extra tiredness but slept for 11 hours last night.

Right, I'd best go and do something.

Wow. I've just weighted myself and I've lost 3kg this week. That's a bit worrying isn't it. I have had two days of no food at all ( surgery and day after) and then struggled to eat more than a few mouthfuls at a time due to painkillers I think.

Never thought I'd worry about losing weight! I'm feeling so not pregnant at the moment I hope everything is ok. It's like at the start when I would welcome a bout of nausea!

We have been here over three years- it was tidy when we moved in as it was a new build, but we haven't done anything to it yet. We were always planning on decorating this year, so we are aiming on a room each weekend- with me in a room behind him doing woodwork- I think I can probably manage that bit!

That said, I can see this enthusiasm wearing off once the nursery is done.

hope you're all having good weekends, I had a mooch around Matalan yesterday with my sister and picked up 2 maternity tee shirts. Not much else though :( have a feeling i'll be making myself some dresses to wear for work during summer when i'll be at my largest.

we started tackling my current craft room soon to be nursery - all we've done are the random bags of stuff, OH has a habit of 'tidying up' into carriers then they get shoved in that room. So far we have 1 bag rubbish, 1 bag charity and 2 bags recycling. the room doesn't really look that much different :( but I know by counting bags that we've made some progress. Just don't know where to put my crafting stuff, don't want it in the loft cos i'll never see it again, but it has to go somewhere, plus once little sausage is with us i'll have loads of piccies to start scrapbooking with.

had to have a chat with OH about what he keeps saying we can leave in the nursery for the baby and pointed out once the cot, wardrobe, dresser and rocking chair and possibly the shelving unit are in there, there will be absolutely no more space, think he may have 'got' that for a while, just hope it sticks

    Congrats on the scans everyone!

Hope you have a lovely time daisie.

I am the main earner here too - DH's income is mostly from a rented flat, but the tenant decided to wreck it and leave after about 3 years of being pretty good. The agency found another tenant but then the references were terrible, so we're still waiting for someone good to come along! It's going to be a challenge financially but i'm hoping to take 8 months off.

We also have the extension to pay for - the builders start on Tuesday! Had considered postponing it but thought we'd just get it all over and done with before baby arrives.
  • Ooooh so tired, had 11 people for lunch, including 2 small people. Most impressively I've counted the chairs in and out.

Off to stare zombie like at the TV and dread a full week at work...
