Goodness me wangdoodle its hard to believe that in this day and age there are people like that out there. Big hugs hun for having to put up with someone who is quite clearly a monumental b**ch x

Hugs lemontree glad everyone was so kind though and you didn't hurt yourself x

I told my office (we're a team of 6 so we are very close) after my early scan at 9+4 as I was struggling so much with sickness. They'd already guessed though mainly due to my late mornings lack of appetite and sudden avoidance of anything caffeinated! My boss I told straight away due to my earlier losses as I was convinced the same thing would happen again and he already knew about both of them.

Wang, maybe you should spread a rumour about her that she's a ***** - oh yeah it's already true.

Lemon, I can't believe people had to be told you were pregnant for them to help you. No matter what the reason you had blacked out and fainted!

Daisie, has your belly popped? I hope I have another few weeks in my work dresses and lycra skinny jeans have been a lifesaver.

Thanks for the support ladies. I know I shouldn't let it get to me, I just don't understand what goes on in some peoples heads.

Hugs lemon tree that sounds so scary. Glad you were helped and hope you're feeling ok now.

Yes it has a bit...but it is fat to begin with so I think the fat is just getting pushed out :o my clothes are getting tight and uncomfortable rather than unwearable, but it feels really tender and sore to have anything tight round my tummy. It is not a bump yet - it is still only getting bigger below the belly button line if you know what I mean, but it is sort of thickening and round-ending at the sides as well as just the front where my fat usually is. That sounds bizarre but I know what I mean! I can't wait for it to become a proper bump going all the way up! I do think people who know me can start to see it is changing. People who don't that well probably just think I look even fatter than usual :(

I wanted to get maternity clothes sorted before going on holiday because I will be 17 weeks when I get back from holiday and I don't know what my body will be like then...I did not want to have a horrible moment of getting ready for work on the first day back and finding nothing fit!
  • Peonie, I occasionally pop back over and delurk if there's something I can help about but I wouldn't want to go on there and talk about my pregnancy. I always felt like it was my safe place to rant about pregnant women (super bitter infertile skills!) so I wouldn't want to make anyone feel like that had been taken away. I think it might be different for you, t2d and wtdn as you all made it through ivf whereas I (guiltly) just got lucky iykwim? :)

Daisi, just posted on the <12w thread about caroline hirons skin blog. She has loads of good tips. :)

Pretty sure it is from my mum as the writing inside is the same writing as the tooth fairy used to use when I was a child :rotfl:

Soppy but it made me bawl my eyes out :)

thanks for all the kind words, I did end up with a seat in the end on the train which was a big relief. I did feel shaky for the rest of the day and took it easy yesterday. My mum wanted to go to Mama's and Papa's which usually means she wants me to drive so I asked her to drive just in case, thankfully she agreed, but I do now have our nursery furniture. :)

I delurk on there sometimes as well. I thought the update could be 'X, X, etc wanted to let you know we've made it through the first trimester'. But no more than that. Even for the ladies who got pregnant naturally I thought about them and wondered how they were getting on and that it was not all bad news. There was no way I was going to lurk on these pregnancy threads to find out. But I understand what you mean. For me other people's pregnancies were just another way to count how much time had passed.

hi all, hope you've been having great days. Picked up my two Emma's diary goodie packs which had some good things it, also managed to use one of the Argos money off vouchers that you get through the site to get £10 off the tommee tippee starter kit.

Lemon, I've been looking at bottles/sets this weekend. At 12 weeks is it too early to be deciding on this stuff? There's many mixed reviews about bottles but I was thinking of going for the T0mmee T1ppee closer to nature range as I want to breast feed as well. I've realised I may be a bit optimistic by thinking I'll produce enough milk to freeze. I liked the Av3nt food preparation storage cups as they can also hold milk and can go in the freezer. Current mums who breast fed - what would you recommend? Some of my friends who breast fed found it hard to find a bottle the baby would take and bought 5 different brands before they found the right one.

I also want to ask about maternity clothes:
Did/has anyone worked out how many trousers, dresses, tops, cardigans etc they need/got to get them through pregnancy and post pregnancy and how many of each?
For trousers/jeans did you choose a narrow bump band or over the bump band because of the comfort or season? I've not tried any trousers or jeans on yet but thought the narrow band might be better for the summer.

    Thanks.
