What did you get in your Emma's diary one Daisiegg? My bounty pack was from asda so they are asda scratch mitts - they are tiny!

Umm....I actually can't remember! :o and now the things from the Emma's diary and the Bounty packs are both in the same bag so I wouldn't know. Sorry! I think it was a few small samples of things.

Maternity tights - I have had them from Next, Boots and M&S. The Next ones were a bit rubbish, wouldn't recommend. But the others are good :)

Thanks for the tights recommendation daisiegg, I'll have a look in M&S next time I'm in town, or are they online only?

Lolypopswater my Emma's diary pack had some small Johnson's samples, wipes and a few Aldi nappies as well as some coupons. My bounty pack was a bit pants as I had to get it from boots, our local Asda never had any in stock.

Nice to see you over here t2d, tcod and Peonie :)

I got my bounty pack from Asda and it had two little hats in. I have downloaded the Emma's diary ones but have get to pick them up.

I picked up some maternity trousers I ordered for work today. Not tried them on but the material is so much nicer than ones I have seen in the shops (which resemble yoga pants!).
I also picked up the Fetal Doppler I ordered and I have managed to pick up the baby's heart beat :)

Daisiegg, my tiredness let up about two weeks ago and I have felt as good as pre-pg since.

Wangdoodle, it is so mean that someone would spread such a rumour! Work colleagues are the worst at times! They know the least about you, but feel the need to talk the most about your personal life (in my experience anyway).

I wanted to tell everyone at work last week but just could not find the right time/ words to say.... I may have to resort to a mass email! How have others told work?

My trusty Dyson has decided to pack in after about 7 good years so now I am looking online for a new one but I just can not work out what the difference is. Has anyone got any model recommendations?

I got them online cos I get everything online...not sure if they have them in shops or not. Boots had them in store, though it was a big store with a whole baby section.

wangdoodle that is absolutely ridiculous about the work rumours! I feel furious on your behalf :( in this day and age loads of people don't get married! How ridiculous. And even if you did not have a partner, what business is it of theirs? My sister in law had a baby on her own. I don't think she got any stick for it. Don't let them get to you. I know that is easier said than done :(

jen, my close work colleagues knew ages ago because I was being so sick all day I had to tell them. Then after my 12 week scan I sort of went public in general - I put something on Facebook and while I don't have loads of work people outside of my department on Facebook, there are enough that I feel like it is 'out there' now. I have also just started mentioning it causally in conversation with various people about work if it comes up.

I really wanted to be public as soon as possible because I wanted to avoid the awkward 'is she pregnant or has she just eaten all the pies?' silent questions! As I am overweight to begin with I think it is going to look very 'could be a bump, could just be fat' for ages so I wanted to be clear!
  • Wangdoodle I'm on my third child and not married! It's noones buisness, I choose not to as don't really see the point, yet sometimes that's just the way things work out! People who comment on it really really annoy me!

How b*****y rude of your colleague wangdoodle. I think I would have said something very rude back to her. Comments like that are so ignorant.

can't believe what your work colleagues have said that's terrible.

I had a lovely work trip to London yesterday but unfortunately because they're tight and split the train tickets at a particular station to make it cheaper I had to rush to make the train at 4 rather than wait till 5. There were still no seat so ended up standing near the doors, unfortunately ended up blacking out and fainting because of the heat and closeness of it all. Was pretty scary and left me shaky for the rest of the day. Did feel very silly though, but there were some lovely people on the train who helped me once my work colleague mentioned I was pregnant. Really don't want to be doing that again!
Hope everyone is enjoying this good weather. I'm going to start tackling the future nursery so we can fit the baby and all it's clobber in tomorrow.

Gosh lemon tree. Sounds terrible! Hope you got a seat then!

I told work via email at 10 weeks as I had to tell them I was about to take 4weeks off. I made cupcakes, which I do from time to time, and sent out a short email as to why. Funny thing was most people just saw the email title 'celebration cakes' and just went straight for the cupcakes without reading it! So had to explain a few times anyway. They were universally lovely about it. Most knew about the cancer last year so realised it was a biggish deal and I mentioned it was ivf.
