    Added myself.

Realised that unlike Peonie, I mentioned nothing about myself! This is a pre-IVF baby. We'd been trying for 3 years with not a sniff of a second line and docs telling us it was highly unlikely naturally so to be here is still a bit surreal! I'm currently being treated as a high risk pregnancy due to a unicornuate uterus, a prolactinoma and benign heart problems but am hoping that the consultants will discharge me after 20 weeks so I can have a home birth.

Massive congrats to claire- if you're lurking on here- on your little girl. Lovely news. :)

Long term TTC-ers, I've not been back to the thread to update them on any of my pregnancy news but I thought as a group we could tell them we made it through the first trimester. What do you think?

Welcome Peonie and tcod, I was wondering when more people would start moving over :D
  • Hi all,

Yesterday I bought a couple of bras for sleeping in- my boobs are so tender and sensitive I have been really uncomfortable- had a much better sleep. I still woke up at 5.30am though. I just need to find a bra to shower in now, that is painful

I also ordered a couple of pairs of maternity jeans- I have been relying on the zip on my dog walking jeans to hold them up as it has been several weeks since the button did up. Yesterday I was out and realised I was feeling a bit drafty- the zip had given up under the strain and they were half way down my bottom- not a good look!
    i hope they come soon.

I also used my advantage points to buy some body lotion for mums to be-my skin feels like it is falling apart it is so dry and itchy I have been waking myself up scratching- I will now cover myself in thick layers of the stuff and see if I can stop the itching. I have been using various body lotions but none seem to have worked so I am hoping a mum-to-be one will feel a bit more gentle.

OH and I dtd for the first time since my bfp- what with the nausea, tiredness, sore boobs and fear of bleeding (I had some bleeding during sex last year and will need a follow up colposcopy once the baby comes) I have really not been in the mood. I think the wearing of the bra helped to make the point they are a no-go area :rotfl: and no bleeding, so maybe I might get my libido back!

Ah,it's no good, tried to update the list on iPad with my blue but it just won't play ball :( . Can someone update me to blue please?

About to go riding this morning, my MIL keeps giving me dirty looks whenever I mentioned I've been riding. I know there's a risk but the less I ride my horse the worse he'll be when I do tide. I've googled it and there seems to be such a variety of schools of thought from giving up straight away from BFP to riding just before due date, with a variety of reasons for giving up, from the obvious risks to just being plain awkward with a bump.

My bf suggested going on the motorbike to my mums tomorrow nod I've researched that too with similar varying schools of thought to the horse riding. I'm more hesitant with this one though cause you are going a lot faster and there are morons on the road around you! I'd have to leave the zip undone on my leathers too lol. I think I'll probably say can we take the car instead!
  • Maternity jeans arrived- sooooo comfy! They are a little on the big side, but I figure that's not a bad thing at this point! They are under bump slouchy ones, similar to what I would normally wear and hopefully better than tight ones when I am huge in the summer. And at £16.99 plus pp, didn't break the bank either. And my skin is feeling better already :)

I know! When I first got maternity jeans I was like why the hell can't they have these for non maternity too lol. Mine stuck out at the back a bit when I first got them but its slowly closing up as I'm getting bigger.

You know what I love? Maternity tights. The ones that come right up to your bra! I am definitely wearing them post-pregnancy!
  • They are sticking out a little at the back- I had to put a tight-ish vest on to hold them in!

I haven't tried them, but my friend had leggings that were similar, she wore them after the baby was born until they literally fell apart!
