Hey ladies. I am taking the plunge from the <12 weeks thread to say hello. I'm 12+3, EDD 8/10/14.
Long term ttc'er and this is an ivf pregnancy. I think I know lots of you, and lovely to be here. Can't believe I've made it this far! Here's to an uneventful 12 weeks.0 -

Yaaaay!hello
so pleased your operation went well and hope you recover speedily.
Afm I have lots to do today (just housework, pottering, marking) but have no energy. Feel slightly fed up but nothing too major! Not been sick for a few days though which is fab.
Oh, I forgot to say, I got my blood test results yesterday (I had to have extra tests as they thought they detected some red cell antibodies in my first sample). I am annoyed with myself because I was in the middle of an afternoon nap when the midwife called and I was half asleep and didn't quite take in what she was saying. I think she basically said it is all ok, but I will need regular blood tests during the pregnancy and they will need to test the baby's blood as soon as it is born, too. Except I don't really know why or what for!I will just be pleased with 'it is ok' for now and hope to get another explanation at my next midwife appointment.

Picked up some maternity jeans and maternity trousers today from next order. Trousers are going back but jeans are super comfy so will be keeping them. No shops near me stock am
My maternity clothes so will all be online.... Still quite early but I'd say last couple of days my belly has popped out a little bit.
Has anyone else picked up their bounty pack yet? Went to asda and it includes a lovely Persil baby towel, scratch mits, antibacterial wipes, little tub of sudocream and a few other bits and bobs - not bad for free!!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0 -

I think the consultant just told me where to go. Fetal medicine centre is actually quite cheap if you go at 10 weeks but more at 12+ weeks. It was £400 for two scans and the tests, including the normal nhs blood and nuchal tests.0 -
Thanks T2D, we're waiting for the results to come back from the initial tests but I phoned the local specialist hospital and the advanced blood test costs £600. But she did not know what that included.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Oh I am having a bit of buyer's remorse! Went crazy online this morning when I was awake ridiculously early and could not get back to sleep. Getting so sick of my horrible skin...never mind the acne on my face, but the skin all over my body is dry, flaky and itching so much it keeps me awake at night
I went onto Boots and spent a ridiculous amount of money on fancy mum-to-be lotions and potions. I then went found my way to M&S and ordered a few loose but pretty nightdresses - will need them when in Florida next week but also if it is going to be a hot summer. They were also not cheap. And then as if that weren't enough, Figleaves came next and I bought another maternity swimsuit (I only have one and it is going to be over 30 in Florida so thinking we will be in the pool/sea every day), two bras (I have gone up in size and only have two that fit currently - will need more for holiday when I can't wash them) and another nighty. I can't believe how much I spent
Online shopping is my downfall. I rarely if ever set foot in a real life shop. But it is so easy to order things online and it cheers me up! Hubby is no help as he just says 'you should treat yourself'. Ho hum.
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend
Can I ask those further along than me - when, if ever, does the tiredness get better? My sickness has all but gone (yay!) but still as tired as ever. I basically can't function without an afternoon nap and can't stay awake beyond about 9pm. I'd quite like it to improve soon so I can actually leave the hotel room on holiday next week!0 -
Hi ladies. Hope you're all enjoying a sunny weekend. Welcome to all those moving over from the <12 week thread. Glad your op went well t2d hope you're feeling better soon.
Sorry I've been quiet for a while. I've been feeling sorry for myself the past week or so. I only just announced my pregnancy at work and this stupid woman (also pg) has started a daft rumour that I don't have a serious boyfriend and I don't know who my baby's father is. This couldn't be further from the truth but I bet a lot of people believe it as I'm not married. Now I know this board is not the place to come for sympathy in my situation. My choice to get pg while unmarried, I guess I felt like a hostage to my age/ declining fertility. But now I feel like I've let myself and my baby down. I feel so stupid. I'm sure it's just the hormones as I normally wouldn't let something silly like this bother me.
In happier news, I bought a dress today for the wedding I have to go to in May. I'm mad that I had to spend so much on a dress I won't get to wear much, so far I've managed with stretchy leggings/ tshirts and a pair of new look maternity jeans. But it's suitable for nursing too so I'll try to wring a bit more wear out of it post birth.
Where did you get the maternity tights daisiegg? I'm getting by with a pair I nicked off my mum (couple of sizes bigger than me) as I'm not very big yet but I guess I'll need some by May.
As for tiredness, I had a few weeks respite from around 13- 22 weeks but now the tiredness is back again. I don't think it's as bad as it was the first 12 weeks and is definitely better if I keep active, but I don't feel like being active, I just want to sleeeeeep!

What did you get in your Emma's diary one Daisiegg? My bounty pack was from asda so they are asda scratch mitts - they are tiny!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0
