Thanks, jenand8285. :) Apart from a bit tired I feel fine in myself (other than somewhat anxious) and little one has a lovely strong heartbeat and is kicking away quite happily from what the doctors have said. Can't fault my hospital, they're really looking after both of us. :) x

    Eek good luck!

Mrs I, sorry to hear you are still getting bleeding. Even though you know the baby is ok, each time it happens it must be scary. You have probably heard loads of anecdotes like this but one of my friends at work says she bled throughout both of her pregnancies. She has two healthy children and they never found out why she bled.

Afm, I am worrying slightly about some blood tests that had to be done again and sent off to a bigger hospital for processing...they were worried about possible red cell antibodies in my blood. I phoned for the results on Thursday but they weren't back yet. I am going to try again today. I am hoping it is good news because if it is not, it will mean a high risk pregnancy with frequent monitoring and needing to deliver early. The midwife I spoke to on Thursday seemed quite positive and said it was probably nothing, which was why they had to repeat the test to check... If it was bad news it probably would have shown up easily on the first test. So fingers crossed.

I weighed myself today and have gained 4 lbs so far this pregnancy. I don't think that is too bad. My tummy is definitely popping out. Hubby was away for two days on business and when he came back he said he couldn'f believe how much it has changed just in that short time :) I can't WAIT to have a proper bump!

Hope everyone is ok and has a good day :)

Daisiegg, it is absolutely petrifying when it happens/gets worse and I do feel like I'm living each day by day in limbo and wondering if/when it will happen again (and wondering if this time we won't be so lucky). Heard a surprising number of anecdotes like that - which you funnily enough never hear about before - but it's very reassuring to hear that your friend has two healthy children as a result, thank you. :) I would just like the certainty to know that everything is going to be alright, you know??

Anyway, onto you. I can understand why you're anxious about these blood tests, but I completely agree with your midwife that a) if it was really bad news it would have shown up straight away on the first blood test and b) if they were really concerned, they would have got the results to you sooner. At least they're being cautious and are double checking to be safe. :)

Good luck with your 20 week scan today, cmace2!! :j

Ah i'll be 25 weeks tomorrow !! Can't believe it !! My bump is really noticeable now, someone even let me jump the queue at the supermarket yesterday :smug: Definately starting to feel the difference tho, i feel heavy and am getting tired more easily. Plus sleeping is getting difficult as i cant seem to get comfy on my side, i normally sleep on my back, but have been advised to avoid that now that bump is so big! I'm looking abit pale and feeling breathless too so i'm probably abit aneamic, off to the doc's next friday so he'll probably prescribe a blood test and iron tablets.

Baby's kicking up a storm and i really need to get ready for work so just a quick message and check up on you all, hope you're all well

Mrs_I Glad you're being looked after well :)

Hugs to you all xx Pomme

Ladies im 17 weeks tomorrow with baby number 5. I started feeling movement very early on, by 13 weeks i was feeling definate movement and by week 15 it definately felt like kicks. A few days before my 16th weeks I could see baby kicking when I was layin in the bath at night. I had a private gender scan 5 days ago and as usual baby was very active moving all over. They asked me if id felt anything yet and i explained i'd felt lots of movement, they said not to worry if i stop feeling it at this stage because its still early. They also said my placenta is anterior but that's not a problem. I didn't think anything of it until 3 days ago when the kicks have suddenly stopped, I can still feel the odd movement but not as strong or as often as before and no kicks like before just a small movement here and there.......... should I be worried or is this normal? I have a blood test on friday at the hospital, do you think they would check the heartbeat for me if I explained or am I worrying for nothing?

Teabag-If you are at all concerned about change in movements call your midwife or your maternity assessment unit. Movements can seem to change by the position of the baby in my experience, but I would give your MW a call to put your mind at rest x

Mrs_I Sorry to hear you are still bleeding and glad you are being looked after. Sending you some hugs xx

daisiegg Hope the bloods are all OK but agree with what Mrs_I said, its probably just double checking to be safe.

teabag29 If you are worried then definitely worth asking your MW, that is what she is there for and she can put your mind at rest.

AFM I finally had to purchase maternity jeans today and OMG what a relief. Everything else was digging in and I was getting proper grumpy with it. They are a bit big as my bump isn't quite big enough to fill them but at least I will be comfy!

Can any one recommend maternity leggings please? I like them to be quite thick. I tried sizing up in normal ones but they are all baggy on the knees lol.

Slimming World group tonight, wish I could stop being nervous about weigh in! I am allowed to gain!
