missy the whole wedding was very diy, I made all our invites and table stuff, diy sweet table etc and most of it was done before we found out about bubs thankfully
just got place cards and table numbers to do once rsvps are all in. Dress arrived today so can get fitting apts booked now and the boys are going for suit fittings on Monday so it's all falling into place nicely now thankfully
alongside this we are also in the process of refitting all the blinds in the house and putting curtains up aswell as changing our bedroom furniture and then finally setting up the nursery lol but I need all the wedding stuff out of the spare room before we can turn it into a nursery!
Felt really stupid today though! Sil came over with my bro to try on her dress and when I was walking them out I stepped off a curb and into a pothole and landed on my knee and hand but luckily didn't smack may belly.currently waiting for a call from nhs direct coz oh is stressing altho midwife has said unless I'm bleeding, in pain or leaking fluid not to worry and just take it easy while I'm sore. He's definitely more worried than me and we can tell where I hit the floor coz it was wet and my clothes were filthy lol but belly and sides were nice and clean still!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I'm back to work tomorrow after 2 days off and don't feel like I've had days off at all! XxxDebt free finally :j

Haha meant to say Father Christmas in Chelsea. Was a lovely day and dd had a nice chat with him and hugged him when we left but didn't want a picture.
Hope you are ok Trixsie after your fall.0 -
I'm fine, bruised pride is all as I'm not normally clumsy lol nhs direct said not to worry as baby is well shock proofed and she was moving around after wards - angry at being woken up I bet!
That sounds lovelycan't wait till bubs is old enough to go see father Xmas xxx

Sounds very much like our wedding was Trixsie, I really loved making all the little bits and bobs and it meant that everything was exactly as we wanted it. Glad all seems well after your fall - it's crazy isn't it, we have this other little person to worry about now and protect, I've never felt so cautious!
I thought it did mean Father Christmas wendz, it just sounded funnyPerhaps Father Chelsea is the posh version

Hello all. I am mostly just really tired today. Went out and did some Christmas shopping. I also ended up buying myself some maternity stuff in the sales. I don't really need it quite yet but I am at the point where my clothes no longer fit properly and I have to be smart for work. Got a new work dress which was reduced in Mammas & Papas.
A work friend has offered me her old pram. Not sure how I feel as it would save us money but there are very few things that we will be buying new and I really want a bugaboo as we have a tiny car and the chameleon will fit in our boot. Other prams would fit if we put the back split seat down but I would like one that fits in the boot. Also as this is baby number 1 and I hope that there will be more at some point I am willing to buy something and reuse it in the future. She got this one for free from someone else at work and it has been through 4 children. I guess I need to see what condition it is in before I decide. I know it is a bit of a status thing to have a nice pram but it would be really lovely to have the pram that I want rather than making do since I can afford it (just!)
What are people's opinions on NCT classes? They seem pretty expensive but people keep telling me that they are worth it as you make lots of friends. £160 seems like a lot and can it really teach me anything that isn't on the NHS course or in a book?0 -
princess my back is hurting so I must've jolted it when I dropped but oh has made me put my feet up,under the pretence of online Xmas shopping so I've rested all afternoon
missy I'm too tight for my own good so I,wasn't going to pay someone to,do,something I could easily do myselfeverything seems fine, it was oh who was more worried than me coz I knew I'd landed on my knee, baby definitely isn't happy with me today after it tho! Apparently my bladder is now a squeeze toy!
ashtray the only things that we are bothered about buying brand new is the pram and cot bed. If,you can afford the one you want I say go for itI'd love a cosatto but the one I love is £800 and even with my dad helping us out we still couldn't afford that! Xxx

Haha well it was very posh
.
Ashtray - I would have a look but decline politely if you don't want it. Nothing wrong with wanting a new one!
I didn't do not but have heard they are good for making friends. Don't think they teach anything that you couldn't learn elsewhere .0 -
they taught me how to put a nappy on and bath a baby ! I had no clue !!0

I don't think I'm going to do NCT. From what I've heard most people do them to make friends, most of my friends already have babies & as much as the ages my be different they're still there to take to about what I may be going through at that time. There are also a few girls in work who are due around the same time as me so I don't think I'd be short of someone to go to classes with or go for a walk with.0
