Hi ashtray heart! Welcome! Of course you can come and join us!!!

If you want to be added to the list, just let me know your due date and the date of your 20 weeks scan (if you know it) and I can update the list. Or feel free to do it yourself!

Sorry you've had a rough time. HG is horrible isn't it? I lost 12lbs but am only sick maybe once or twice a week now. Glad you are feeling better though.

Trixsie, hope your scan goes well today

  • Due date is 6th June. 20 week scan is 26th January. I've lost 15lbs so far. It isn't the start to my pregnancy that I imagined. Not sure about finding out sex yet. I want a surprise I think but at the same time I think at the actual scan I will want to try and find out.

  • Welcome ashtray heart :hello:

Aunty-Pickle - I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! So happy to have an excuse to talk about it :) Yours sounds like it will be nice and chilled this year just the two of you - you should definitely get a tree though, otherwise it will be just like any other day :p

We will be round my Nan's for Christmas day and then at my Mum's Boxing Day. They are both very local (each less than 10 mins!) so no hassle for us travelling. We alternate between them every year, so my Mum is super excited that she will have the grandbaby at her house next Christmas, although because we never go to OH's parents (at any time, let alone Christmas, but that's a story for another day :o) she will never have a Christmas without the grandbaby so it wouldn't have mattered either way.

I'm hoping to get the decs up some point this week, I'll wait til Monday though so at least it's December! We've had people in our street have them up for 2 weeks already and even I think that is too early :p Making good progress with my shopping, even splashed out on some Beats for OH in the Black Friday sale today - still not very MSE as they are a stupid price just for headphones, but my thinking is that I will spoil him this year as next year I will be spoiling someone else :)

For us, baby is definitely taking a back seat until after Christmas! We are going to look at prams and furniture this weekend but only to see what we like so we will be ready to hopefully grab a bargain in the January sales.
  • Hi everyone, just updating from our scan today we are 80% certain were team pink but will get it confirmed at next scan in February (4d) because the little swine wouldn't keep still for, them to get a good look at her bits lol! Everything fine and healthy and strong and she was having a good flip back n forth n waving arms and legs all over the place lol was really worried about it this morning before we went so glad it's done with now :) now I just need to,psyche myself up for the glucose blood test and the rest of,the blood tests that get done at 28 weeks which happens to be the week before we get married! Oh and get my flu jab done! How's everyone? Anyone get any good bargains today? We had 15% off in h n m but that's all the shopping we did lol xxx

  • lol missymoo :p! I was hoping it wasn't too soon to mention Christmas! It is just about December and Sunday is the 1st Advent Sunday so I reckoned it was ok!! ;)
Sounds like you're pretty well sorted for your plans which is nice. Does your mum do all the cooking?! We will be able to decide what we want which will be nice - no trying to please everyone else! (And there never are enough "turkey legs" to go round for everyone who wants one etc!) It will be a bit sad not seeing my mum in person but she says she is more than happy (she's very understanding bless her!) - the staff at the residential village she lives in go "all out" for Christmas and especially for those who don't have family visiting so she's actually quite looking forward to it!! And their Christmas Dinner is only an extra £10 so sounds like a bargain to me! We'll Skype her and the rest of my family on Christmas Day - OH's family aren't on Skype (shame ;))

Aw Trixsie - awkward babies eh?!! We have to go back in 2 weeks as our little pickle wasn't playing. Did they get all the measurements though? I suppose that's the main thing. Ooo, poor you having to do the GTT - even the thought of it makes me feel sick.
How are the wedding plans going? Is everything sorted now?!

  • They did get all the measurements so happy everything is ok. I'm just not, good with needles but once I'm there and it's being done I'm ok think,it's just the thought of them that turns my stomach! Wedding will all be paid for this week so that's good I'm just chasing the last few rsvps now for meal, choices altho we've got until 14th jan to get them in lol christmas for us this year is me cooking at home as it's our first in our house just us two but oh's mum might be coming over. If not well be dropping into hers and then my dad's for an hour each and then home again for dinner as we only get Xmas day off so I don't want to spend it in someone else's house! You got presents sorted? Xxx

Welcome Ashtray Heart, we are due around the same time :).

I am Christmas obsessed haha. We are going down to see the in laws on the 23rd and then driving back up to London to stay at my sisters Christmas eve to boxing day with my parents. No doubt dd will be spoilt. Taking my daughter to see father Chelsea tomorrow, went to the same one last year and was great although i bet she won't go too close!

Trixsie - glad the scan went well apart from not wanting to show you its bits :rotfl:.

I got my nuchal result back today and was low risk and same as the one i got with my daughter. Also booked my 16 week appointment.
  • Aunty-Pickle - yes, good old mum, she does everything :) I wouldn't have a clue what to do! I even told her that for as long as she is alive, I won't ever cook the Christmas dinner... I wouldn't want to spoil it :p She was quite happy with that :) Last year I was in charge of puddings (something I can do!) and so made a Bailey's cheesecake and chocolate Yule log. Both went down really well so I'll probably give them another go this year.

I popped out today and the shops were manic! I had to pick up DH's Beats from John Lewis and so I got a few little other bits in there (their food, sweets and alcohol gifts are lovely this year), but it was very busy and so I gave up after about 5 shops! I have been doing most of my shopping online, but if I need anything else from the actual store then I think I'll try a late evening next time.

Trixsie - really pleased the scan went well, and even though your potential pink was a wriggler, at least it means you get to see her again! You must be one very busy lady what with all your wedding plans too - are you doing much of it yourself? We had a very much DIY wedding and I was at a bit of a loss after getting back from honeymoon that I had nothing to do, however at least that shouldn't happen to you with a baby on the way!

wendz - Father Chelsea? Is that a typo/auto-correct or am I missing something!? :p Glad your nuchal results were low, that's one more thing to worry about out of the way.

I was hoping my parents would be moving out this week but they've had a hold up, so I don't think I'll get my decs up until they've gone - there's far too much stuff in my house at the minute, I have no room for anything! They are going out for a meal tonight though so I'm really looking forward to an evening of snuggles and a film with DH tonight, something we've not been able to do for so long! Oh, and a kebab :o DH is more excited about that I think:rotfl:
