There is probably a multiples group for your area on Facebook? Otherwise ask your midwife next time you see her, sure there would be something specific to twins/multiples.0

Pington, our hospital advertises special groups including breastfeeding and twins/multiples so maybe next time you're in you could have a look on their notice board in the waiting room?Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0

I have joined a local twins group but haven't really been involved yet as it seems most people already have their babies.
I've not noticed anything at the hospital but will keep my eyes peeled. I just found out today that someone I know at work is expecting twins with his wife! That's the second set I know due at work, the first being due a couple of weeks after mine. It's a twin epidemic!0 -
I know a couple who have had their twin girls today. We're really struggling with names and the 1 we both kind of agreed on they've used. Typical. Ah well, doesn't really matter i suppose.....0

Not sure my scan and consultant appointment will go ahead today with the strikes but fingers crossed!0

Hello Everyone :-)
If possible I would like to join - I'm a bit rubbish usually at posting but really feel like I'll need the support (and hopefully offer some in return) this time round.
Currently pregnant with Baby #2 due on 22nd April. I'm not even half way through yet and I really feel like I'm struggling with this. I work full time and have a 3 year old DS at nursery I dont drive so walk everywhere and with picking DS up from nursery after work (at a school) everyday I'm knackered all the time. The journey in total takes over an hour I finish work at 4 and by the time I've picked up DS and got home it's about 5:15. The housework is getting done but to a seriously substandard level (Just remembered that I have left a load of washing in the washing machine, the spare bedroom is awash with clean laundry that all need ironing and putting away) I don't know how I can keep it up to be honest as I get further along in pregnancy. I took DS for a walk in the woods yesterday and he must have fallen in the mud about 20 times his coat was filthy - forgot to wash it so had to send him into nursery looking like a right scruff this morning. DH is good(cooked a roast AND washed up yesterday) but he works hard too he is rarely home before 8pm in the week and is always stressed. We have just sold our house and bought another which we are waiting for some movement on (I just hope we don't end up moving when I'm about to drop) I have no motivation when I am in work either. Sorry to just crash your board to just have a moan but really needed to get it out. I promise I'm not usually such a moaner!0 -
welcome georgie!
So sorry you're having a tough time at the moment - and don't worry about coming here to moan. It's the one place where you can moan without worrying about trying to keep everything together and presentable! We all have our off days - and some more than others which is fine. What I'm trying to say is, moan away, we don't mind and will try and support you as best we can!!!
Are there clothes/washing that you don't have to iron? We don't iron bedding or tea towels. Most stuff we hang up to dry so the wrinkles tend to drop out themselves (well mostly lol!) In fact the only things we iron re OH's work shirts and trousers and the odd piece of clothing for me if it looks particularly crumpled or I'm going out etc.
It's tough that your OH doesn't get in till late - is DS in bed by then? Do you get any "you" time or "couple" time? Would you be able to do some batch cooking and put portions in freezer to make mealtimes any easier?
Sorry if you've tried all these things already - or if they wouldn't work for other reasons, just trying to think of practical ways of how things might help.
If you are struggling, have you thought about talking to your GP or your midwife?
I hope some of that helps, if it doesn't, please be assured that we're a friendly lot and will at least send you virtual hugs and best wishes! (And don't worry about posting regularly - lurking is fine! - I'm on here a lot at the mo because I'm off sick after an operation!)

oh no Princess Kate, how frustrating! How well do you know them? - could you still use the name?
milly, were the strikes only for this morning? Is it worth phoning the unit to check? Hope yours still goes ahead for you. Were you going to stay Team Yellow or try and find out? (Can't remember sorry!)Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Hi Georgie, absolutely feel free to moan - I think we all understand that there are good and bad days.
I completely agree with Aunty-Pickle, if it doesn't look crumpled, ironing is not required, and with your growing bump, if it's stretchy then most wrinkles will stretch out anyway.
I agree with you that it seems harder the second time around, like you I have a toddler who is full of energy (she just turned 2) and can't understand that mummy would just like five mins to put her feet up and have a little rest and that riding around the room on my back can't happen any more (well perhaps for another few weeks in short doses !)
I also sent DD to nursery today looking a mess, we went out for a walk after tea and she fell over in a puddle when it came over her wellies & she freaked out ! I couldn't summon the energy to wash her hair as it's such a fight to do it and then dry it, so she was a bit mucky today. You are definitely not the only one !!0 -
We don't know them too well but we move in the same circles.... As we're team yellow I guess it may not be a problem anyway!0
