The midwife gave me the form.
Thanks for that Pington!0 -
sorry missymoo, not received mine yet. I can let you know when I get it (I posted it this week so shouldn't be too long)
Princess Kate, a maternity exemption certificate allows you to have free NHS prescriptions and free dental care while you are pregnant and for 12 months after baby is born. You get the form from your GP, health visitor or midwife. (I received mine at my booking in apt). You send the form off and you get a little credit-card sized certificate that you can show to chemist etc.Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
Ah in Wales everyone gets free prescriptions anyway & I have denplan so free dental testament isn't any good for me either. Got my bloods for the Down's screening on monday, that's all the initial screening that's offered in wales but when we had our private scan last saturday she checked the back of the neck & said everything looked fine.0

Has anyone noticed a change in hair growth rate?
I usually book my hair appt when I feel my roots need doing. I usually am desperate 7 weeks after the last cut & colour. I checked today and it's been over 8 weeks since my last appointment and the roots are only looking about 4 weeks normal growth!
So much for luscious hair during pregnancy!0 -
I've not noticed anything about hair growth (other than my fuzzy blonde tummy) but have definitely noticed changes in the amount of oil.
Pre pregnancy I would wash my hair every other day. For the first 12 weeks it was a lot more oily and had to be washed every day; after 12 weeks it's become less oily, although not dry, and now only needs washing every third or forth day. It's really weird but rather convenient!0 -
I've been growing my hair out - naturally I'm a mousey brown/dark blonde but I've always dyed it a lot lighter, however I've been too lazy to book an appointment! It's gone kind of that ombre look at the moment which I quite like but it's so long now! I'm loving the length now but need to get my split ends trimmed and hopefully get the colours blended a bit better.
The annoying thing I'm finding now though is that my hair gets greasy after just one day, whereas I could go a few days before - so I'm the opposite to you Pington! Dry shampoo is my best friend at the moment0 -
i seem to have developed a really dry and flaky scalp - but just around my hair line not all over
Not sure what that's about!!!

My hair is thicker (though was thick to start with) and i have slightly more body hair. By no difference in needing to wash it (every 2-3 days).0

Hey everyone :-)
Sorry I've been a bit AWOL this week, lots of interview prep to do but all done now. I'll find out on Monday afternoon so fingers crossed. Thanks for the good luck messages Danielley and Always Alone :-)
Hello to the newbies Bezzy, Phoenix and Angel Mommy
Congratulations on being double team pink Pington! Sounds like they're typical sisters already!
Re hair growth and washing - I've not noticed a difference in growth but I can get away with washing my hair every other day now whereas it was always every day before pregnancy so that saves a bit of time in the mornings!
As for me, I'm 18 weeks today - nearly half way there! I think I have a small bump but as I have a bit of a tummy normally anyway only me and DH can tell but that's fine. Three weeks on Monday til we hopefully find out the gender and I can start getting more organised so looking forward to that :-)
Hope you're all feeling well and having a relaxing weekend x0 -
Sorry I've been away for a while! For anyone who isn't on the FB group, I've been in hospital for the past 3 days. Was finally able to come home yesterday afternoon. Went in for bump cramps and severe vomiting. Ended up finding out that I have asthma and MRSA while I was there! They think that I have a UTI, which is what caused the cramps and the pain caused the vomiting. The test results will be back hopefully no later than Monday about that. The MRSA isn't a problem, DH and I are immune to it and it won't hurt baby, I just have to tell them each time I'm in hospital for anything so that a few extra sterile precautions can be made and if I go to the gym and sweat/do anything (except for swimming surprisingly, the chlorine kills the bacteria!) I just have to make sure to clean the equipment really well when I'm finished. Means I'll always get a private room though, lol!
So, yeah, that was my past week essentially! Today has been spent catching up on laundry (washing everything at 60, and I think I'm going to get some Dettol laundry additive). I was able to sleep in my own bed snuggled up to DH last night, so I feel way better today. Even scrubbed the shower and tub down completely while I was in the shower today!
In other news, oh my back, oh my hips, oh my bladder! That is all.0
