I know this maybe a bit tmi but anyone else constipated? It's killing me! Never had this with ds!
Yes! Spending around half hour in the bathroom with little to show for it, and it was bl**dy painful! Then having awful stomach cramps lasting right through to the next day, I almost called in sick to work the other morning because the cramps doubled me over, but then after another visit all was restored :o:o:o:o The cramps and achey-ness lasted all day though. I did read that Pregnacare can make it worse so I'm starting to alternate between Seven Seas and Pregnacare each day.

In other news, I got my blood test results today to detect risk for Downs and neural tube defects and all is fine :)

Danielley - that feeling of baby sounds lovely! How many weeks are you? I've still not watched the Panorama programme yet but I plan to. That's good that you'll get the 32 weeks scan. I know that OH and I will go for a 3d or 4d scan later on, we've already said that we are both willing to pay for that, but whether it stops at one who knows!

Yes!! But it comes and goes, some days I really struggle and other days I'm fine.

Yay for movement Danielley! I thought I was beginning to feel movement and think I still might occasionally but it's still not as regular as I would like yet. However ds was very lazy so this bubs may be taking after big brother!

Had a consultant appointment this morning altho he delegated to his registrar! Looks like I'm getting extra scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks this time if I make it that far! He also took a swab this morning which I wasn't expecting. My lady garden was not at all groomed, he probably felt as if he had to fight through a forest!! :rotfl: mortified is not the word!! Must be more prepared should a swab be sprung on me ever again! I'm so embarrassed!

    Hope everyone's doing ok
  • Hello *waves*

Please can I join again? Had scan on Monday, all looking well. I'm 12+1 due 06/05/15. Rainbow baby #4 hopefully.

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all.

  • Welcome Angelmommy :hello: I'm pleased everything is well so far, fingers crossed all goes well x

danielley - 17 weeks  I'm 16+2 so hopefully it won't be too long before I can feel something too :) That's the main reason I'm umming and ahhing over paying for another private scan before my 20 weeks as I'm not feeling anything yet. I've also been over-doing it with various things at work and home again (I'm my own worst enemy for that :o) so I'm desperate for reassurance, but I'm hoping that once I feel movement that will be what I've waiting for.

Always - you must always keep your garden well maintained! Not that I stick to that either :p I just think that mine cannot be the worst the doctor has ever seen, I am sure that there must be worse out there :p That's good that you'll have more scans, more reassurance for you and less wait in-between seeing baby each time :)
  • Oh I dunno Missymoo, the docs face was a picture!!:eek: I think it might be up there with the worst he's had to work with :rotfl:
  • I had my 2nd midwife appt on wednesday, just went through blood results from booking and told me about the flu jab, whooping cough jab and when my next appointment will be. Because of christmas I'll see her at 24 weeks so I asked about m MATB1 form as I need to hand it in by 25 weeks but want to give payroll & HR as long as possible to get everything arranged for my maternity leave & pay, so she said she will sign it when I'm at 20 weeks & leave t at reception at my GP for me to collect. She asked if I'd felt any movement yet which I don't think I have, only 16 +2 so still pretty early.

Hope everyone is feeling ok, I'm feeling pretty good apart from still being quite tired, but that is quite usual for me!

Ladies - I need your help please!

Today I got my Maternity Exemption Certificate through the post but my little sod of a puppy has chewed the letter up!! I've pieced some of it back together but I really can't make head nor tail of what it says and it's a double sided letter. Is there anything important in there that I need to know? The actual card is in tact thankfully, it's just the accompanying letter.

We need to buy one of those post baskets :o

Princess - I'm glad everything went well at your midwife appointment. Being date twins I had the same trouble as you fitting in a time for the next appointment, she wanted to book me in for Christmas Eve! I'll be seeing her the week before instead.
  • Can't help with the letter missy but can I ask what a maternity exemption certificate is for?

I seem to remember the exemption letter had some info about how long the card is valid for, and at what stage it becomes invalid if you miscarry :-( I stuck my letter in a drawer somewhere and just put the card in my purse.
