    Welcome to you Bezzy :)
I chased up the hospital when my scan date was slow to come through; it's a good job I did because I don't think I received the letter before the day of the scan! Some problem with their post system apparently.

20 week scan done and both babies look fine. We found out they are both girls!

I was really struggling about half way through; started to pass out due to (probably) lying on my back and the pressure on my stomach from the ultrasound thingy. It was really embarassing; I had to strip off my clothes, lie on my side, drink water, eat lucozade tablets and have a fan on me. For about 5-10 minutes I had ringing in my ears, felt incredibly sick and dizzy, tingly fingers and clammy all over. Not nice at all! But then it passed and I was fine again. Apparently it's quite common and more likely early on with twins due to having more going on in the belly and the scan measurements taking twice as long.

I have a funny picture of T2 trying to kick T1 in the head; we think it was revenge because when the T2 scan was being done, T1 kept trying to photobomb and get back in the picture :)

  • Hello ladies.
Moving up from the first board as I'm 13+3 today. Scan done and all looks perfect.
Sickness is easing, although not sure if it's the tablets kicking in. Would like my energy to return sometime soon.

    Congrats pington on Team Pink!

Thanks ladies. We would have been happy with whatever the result but it just makes it seem so much more real knowing they are girls!
  • How exciting Pington. We're not going to find out although it does get more & more tempting the more you look around at decorating ideas and clothes!!

    Hello to all the newbies!!!

Good luck to Tilly for the interview, you go girl!

I felt the baby move properly for the first time last night; It felt like the feeling you have when you are going down a dip on a roller coaster! It was so bizarre and brought tears of joy to my eyes thinking of what it was!

xmissymoox I watched the Panorama documentary on catch up last night. It really opened my eyes to just how many babies are still born each day, I had no idea it was so high, it was heartbreaking and according to the show, in many cases preventable with additional checks. Sorry to be morbid everyone :(

I wasn't planning on having any private scans after the standard 20 weeks but I think I would now. However I saw my midwife yesterday and because this is an IVF pregnancy which is considered slightly higher risk she said she would arrange a 32 week scan also.

Yes, LegendMum! I'm constipated and suffering with piles! I think the constipation is a combination of hormones and also the iron in the multivits (pregnacare) I really should try a different brand.

And finally, Mr Danielley has finally convinced me to find out the gender at the 20 week scan. I initially wanted to wait for the surprise, but I suppose it would be nice to know. I'm 99% certain it is a girl anyway so it will be a big surprise if it is a boy.
