Greetings Always_Alone; glad to hear your scan went well :)

Poor Carrot feeling like that; you have my sympathies. Really hope you're feeling a lot better very soon. I had times like that without actually being sick too; hopefully yours will pass soon as mine did in the end. Naughty twins!

Sounds like you've been haing a rough time of it Mrs_T_M. Are you feeling better now? Are you going to find out the sex at your next scan?

Ours is set for 20th October and I really hope the twins cooperate so we can see what sex they are. It seems like ages to wait!

Can anyone recommend any places to buy maternity bras? I'm really starting to grow out of my biggest pre-preg bra and need to go shopping!

Pre-preg size was 32F; is it easier to find maternity bras in larger cup sizes than it is normal bras? I always found bra shopping a nightmare and it was hard to find my size, especially at a reasonable price.
  • Hello....

Can I join you lovely people? I am currently 12+2 and have a scan next Tuesday (23rd Sept 2014)

I recognise a few names from the less than 12wks thread, nice to see you all.
  • My local Primani has just started stocking maternity wear including mat bras. Not tried them out yet.

My first ones came from M&S at 12 weeks pg. I was just going to get measured but they were so comfortable I walked out with one of the two pack on! Last month I moved up again and this time went for mothercare as there was a reduced one. This is only 38 F though (big by my C cup standard).

Some people go to Elle. I am sure someone mentioned Bravissimo but not sure they do nursing bras and think price is .

BTW if you do go for mat or nursing bras, have you prepared yourself that they are not a good look - no underwiring!?

I'm doing much better today, took a nap from 10-1:30 too! Probably will go back to bed once I finish lunch and drink a bit more water.

We are hoping to find out what we are having, so long as the little thing cooperates! We are still just taking it one day at a time though.

Once the 20 week scan is done, we will finally be able to announce the pregnancy to our family (my mom, aunt and uncle know, but that's it!) and friends plus fb and twitter. Still need to come up with a cute phrase that goes along with this little sleep suit that we are going to use to announce it! It also glows in the dark. ;)

Welcome to all the newbies :)

Pington I'm starting to get a furry tummy too I think. I have to admit, whilst I know you are having twins, it sounds odd that you are seeing lumps poking out already… I get ligament stretchy pains but imagine if you had a hernia or something it would feel a bit different!?

Bubblepops sorry to hear about your redundancy :( Hope things go ok with the union.

Carrot34 my morning sickness hasn't gone yet either :( In fact the last couple of weeks have been some of the worst!!

Mrs_T_M sorry to hear you haven't been well, hope you are feeling better now. Glad baby is ok :) That babygrow is super cute!!

I need to get a maternity bra too but have so far been restricted by a poor month finance wise :(

I am pretty sure that I felt baby move this morning for the first time :) Scan on Thursday, willing the next 3 days to go by quickly!!

My ligament pain has subsided now but I'm still getting lumps and bumps poking out; I'm pretty sure now it is one/both babies but will mention to midwife when I see her on Wednesday just to be sure.

Maternity bra shopping success in M&S! Very comfy but it does take a bit of getting used to the different shape they give.

That little skeleton sleep suit is very cute!

Glad I'm not the only one turning into a fuzzy werewolf in the tummy region :)

Hi ladies, I'm nearly 37 weeks and I read with interest the comments on maternity bras. I still haven't bought any.
My pre pregnancy size was 32ff and I went up to 34g buying sales bras from debenhams. Although I've expanded on the back the cups still got and I bought some extenders from eBay to see me through. I've not worn non wired bras since I was 12 so not intending to go into them before I really need to.
I bought 2 nursing bras from eBay again in the 34g and I could have cried when they arrived. I've put them somewhere 'safe' until I can bring myself to try them and I've no idea where they are! Once I've given birth I might actually get measured properly and buys couple but I won't be spending over the odds until I really need to.
It's perfectly safe to stay in wired bras as long as you're comfortable and the cups/wires aren't pressing on the breast tissue etc.

    Relurking....

  • Morning ladies :) sorry I've been a bit quiet since I joined this thread, I was away for the weekend but back to work today, boo!

I am going to update this list this evening if that's ok so I'll add all us newbies in one go. If anyone needs any changes or more info adding shout up today and I'll do that later too.

The ladies on the first thread were having a chat about finding out the gender of baby - what are your thoughts? The consensus on the first thread seems to be not to find out but I'm way too impatient not too so I definitely want to know! I'm pretty convinced I'm having a girl but trying to stay open minded!

Anyways, hope you're all feeling ok today (sorry about the sickness Mrs TM and Carrot) and catch up later x

We aren't finding out. My husband wants to know but I don't so he is having to compromise on this one :o My MIL (who likes to voice her opinion about all things baby-related) can't really understand why we aren't finding out because she really wanted to know when she was pregnant but the option wasn't available back then. I might have been tempted to find out if it wasn't for her talking about it constantly :o I think the surprise is part of the excitement :) I don't mind buying unisex stuff, babies don't care what colour clothes they wear anyway :)
