The consensus on the first thread seems to be not to find out but I'm way too impatient not too so I definitely want to know! I'm pretty convinced I'm having a girl but trying to stay open minded!
Anyways, hope you're all feeling ok today (sorry about the sickness Mrs TM and Carrot) and catch up later x
If baby cooperates, we both want to find out what we are having.
I'm doing ok today other than the fact that I vacuumed yesterday and now my butt/hips are killing me!
Found a local person on FB selling a Graco travel system for £20, so going into town today to pick that up. Getting ice cream with DH on his lunch break before I pick it up too!

Hope you're feeling better Carrot and Mrs TM
I think we'll be finding out what we're having this time. We didn't first time round and while we still love the idea of a surprise, being organised wins out!! Esp as ds arrived 5 weeks early and caught us completely unprepared!! We have a garage full of blue if it's a boy which needs sorting so we'll defo be finding out if we can.
Think somebody asked about bras - sports bras or sloggi ones (sp)are the way forward! Don't look very glamorous but do the job, are relatively comfortable and not overly expensive
I saw a friend over the weekend who's expecting a few days after me and she has a proper bump already!! I couldn't believe it! This is her third pregnancy, she has a dd and suffered an ectopic at the end if last year but she looks like I did at 6 mths!! I felt a little envious as i still only have rolls and rolls (and rolls!!) of fat!! :rotfl:
Hope everyone's doing ok x0 -
We both want to find out, even more so once we discovered we'd be having twins!
My OH is the world's most impatient man so there was no way he'd be able to wait, and I like to be armed with as much info as possible about things so there was no way I'd be able to wait either.
Throw twins into the mix and it seems even more sensible to know; not so much for buying clothes and things (we're not into the whole pink/blue thing) but for thinking longer term about sharing bedrooms etc in the house.0 -
Hi ladies.
My OH has always wanted to know what we are having and I didn't want to know. However as soon as we found out its twins I now want to know. We've had all the surprises we need for this pregnancy.
Like you pington - it's not about colours but with having two its really just about practicalities.
My work colleague who has 5 year old twins has offered us her John Lewis cot beds. She said its time for hers to get proper beds anyway. Well excited as we won't be getting hand-me-downs from anyone as there are two so really touched by this. Plus she is excited to be "guiding" me0 -

I know what you mean, Carrot; we've both had a big enough surprise already haven't we?!
That's great about the cot beds. We've acquired various hand me down bits but often only one of things so we're still getting bits and bobs. Freecycle and local selling pages have been really handy0 -
Ahh Carrot it's lovely when you get given 'nice' things. We won't need any big stuff this time round as we have buggy/cot etc from ds and of its blue we won't even need any clothes! Very MSE! :money:
Oh dear lord my foof is feeling very bruised this evening! Feels like I've been kicked in my lady parts! Took ds out on a walk today and ended up doing about 2.5 miles  hopefully the means ds sleeps well tonight tho!!
Is anyone suffering from heartburn at all? I don't think I got it very much last night and certainly wasn't expecting it so early this time but it comes on at least 2-3 times a day and can be rather uncomfortable. And it's only gonna get worse isn't it......0 -

Evening ladies,
I’ve just updated the list so I hope it’s ok?! I’ve taken the newbies due dates from the first thread so I hope that they’re right. I haven’t seen if you have 20 week scan dates so I guess just add them as and when you do!
Re finding out the gender – seems like the general consensus on this thread is to find out! For those of you having twins, do you know from your 12 week scans if they are in the same amniotic sack or not? I’m sorry I’m no expert, I just know from my friends experience, isn’t it that if they’re from one egg, they'll be in the same sack, they’re identical and will be the same gender, but if it’s two sacks, they’re from two eggs and not identical? Forgive me if I have that wrong, I’m sure those of you expecting twins know more about it than me!
Sulphate – I love that you’re fixed on not finding out the gender as your MIL is desperate to knowHa, that shows her you’re boss!
Mrs_T_M – Glad you’re feeling much better. Your travel system sounds like a complete bargain! Are you pleased with it?
Always_alone – I don’t have a bump either and I get total bump envy so I’m glad I don’t have any pregnant friends at the mo! At least I don’t think I do, who knows! I like to pretend my chubb and bloating is a bump but I know I’m kidding myself reallyNo heartburn yet thankfully. Although I have thought I might be feeling a little touch of Braxton hicks this evening, but it seems early for that. Anyone else felt them at about 13 weeks?
Pington – I think I’m a combination of you and your DH, being impatient and wanting as much info as possible! I agree re the pink and boy thing too – Tesco has some lovely Boofle baby stuff in that’s white and a creamy brown colour. Not that I’m looking already or anything
Carrot34 – How lovely of your colleague to offer you her cot beds
Anyways, I guess that’s all from me for now. Take care of yourselves x0 -
From my first scan they could tell that the twins were in separate sacs with separate placentas. I think that if they are sharing that means they are definitely identical, but if they are separate they could be identical or fraternal. I have a booklet somehwere that explains it; will remind myself0
