12-24 weeks pregnant (part 3)

Aw, bless you feeling a bit in-between with clothes Paige Turner. I had the dubious advantage of having got chubby 6 months before getting pregnant and having lots of jersey dresses and a bigger size of trousers, but starting pregnancy 10 pounds lighter than my heaviest weight 6 months before.
Yay for getting your scan date Estateprincess :j
Glad you have your first NHS scan sorted too Pington.
My midwife check up went really well, she measured my belly at exactly the right size for my due date (I'll ignore all the "oh you're huge" and "but your bump is tiny" comments now - I've been getting them on the same day in the same outfit), heartbeat was fine and I got booked in for antenatal classes. There are only 2 - I kind of expected there to be 5 or something. Luckily they're at a time that's quite easy for us both to have off work0 -
16w today
Wife has felt baby moving for about a couple of weeks but this weekend was the first time we could feel baby on the move from the outside. Only ever so slight, so wont be long before I am woken up at 3am with the sound of baby kicking against the bed!!!0 -
haha I moaned and moaned I had no bump then not joking, 20 weeks pop!
I also didn't feel movement until 20 weeks, I have anterior placenta and could only feel movement I could swear was baby at that point.
I am off for a check up actually in 45 mins as I had a (nother!) bleed last weekend and so checking baby as not felt movement for last few days...actually quite worried but staying calm as I know normal at 22 weeks. long history of mcs so just checking for my peace of mind really xxOfficial DFD: Dec 29Challenge DFD: July 23Debts Cleared: 1/13Building EF: £20/£600 3%0 -
Hello all.
I hit 20 weeks yesterday, due on the 19th January.
I've been having real trouble sleeping for the last month or so, and have had pretty horrific fatigue since before I got pregnant. I've woken up 8-10 times per night for the last 4 days, and I'm totally exhausted (was so tired yesterday I washed my hair but forgot to use shampoo, then didn't realise why my hair felt all icky until I was already at work!). All I can think about most days is when I get to go back to bed, but alas work means I'm stuck with having to be awake all day. All the books and websites talk about how people tend to perk up during second trimester, but I'm more tired than ever.
I have the anomaly scan tomorrow afternoon and am feeling quite nervous, both about everything being okay and the possibility that I might doze off in the nice warm, dark room and miss bits of it!0 -

Fruu I'm another that expected to have an energy spurt in my second trimester and I'm still waiting for it at 31 + 2 lol. Some people are lucky to get it others are just less fatigued.
Enjoy your scan, it's amazing seeing how much growth has happened in 8 weeks.

good news freshstart, how reassuring!
I'm almost 17 weeks now and having some horrible stretchy pains under my belly button. Was a bit concerned this morning but dr google says they are very common at 17 weeks so probably round ligament pain. Having a quiet one tonight as only got 5 hours sleep last night as I was on call and was rudely awoken twice in the night!Just had a nice bath, got a quick dinner ready to re-heat and some tv before an early night.
Just got to get through 2 more days at work and then I have my summer holiday at long last, fly to Croatia on Friday, hurrah! Not felt any movement yet but hoping to at some point on hols as I'll be more relaxed and almost 20 weeks by the time we come home.
Made the mistake of looking at prams last weekend and could not believe the cost! Trying to put it to the back of my mind and enjoy our last couple holiday without stressing about money and formulate a plan once we're back and have 20 week scan and know baby is still ok.0 -

Freshstart - good to hear that's really reassuring
Fruu - hope you start sleeping better at some point! I had an awful night Sunday, ugh! Good luck with your scan tomorrow!
Nicky Noo Na - I have a lot of those stretchy pains at the moment. I also can't lie on my stomach anymore as it's uncomfortableHope you enjoy your holiday!! I also have been looking at prams... how overwhelming. Blah!! I mean, what is the difference between a mothercare travel system for £250 and, say, the uppababy vista which is £600+... how does one pick?!

I'm suffering with swollen feet and think I have the start of a cold... I need a holiday ! Nearly time to progress to the next thread scary stuff lol0

Have you looked into second hand prams? I started to panic when I saw the price of well reviewed double buggies (expecting twins). But I managed to pick up a second hand iCandy one for £1500
