Welcome Mrs tm, lovely scan PIC

Love actually I have an old loola pushchair which has carrycot I bought second hand. I also bought a joie aire as it is much lighter but not rear facing. I have a pushchair obsession and also want a quinny zapp xtra (not telling my boyfriend about that!!). Have you tried out the pushchairs you like? I think they have a good review.

Sending you hugs fresh start, I think it is only after 24 weeks they worry about lack of movement especially if they have been active before. To be honest I think I am having a lazy boy as rarely feel movement at 23 weeks but keep telling myself not to be paranoid. If you are concerned ring your midwife. I think someone on here also was worried before and told to drink a cold drink and lie on their side. Is there any chance you may just not think the movements are the baby as when I do feel something it isn't an obvious see through the skin kick, more of a popping feeling.

Freshstart, I know it's easy for me to say but try not to worry.
I also have anterior placenta and I was 23+3 before I felt anything. Be aware that some feelings can be your digestive system working away especially if the 'movements' have all been low down on the left.
If it has definitely been baby before there are things to try, a warm bath (not too hot, that's what I was doing when I first felt it), a cold drink or eating/drinking something sugary and lying on your left hand side. Don't know why (someone else might though) but you tend to feel more when lying on the left. As for me, I was terrible just for lying down and having a poke and a prod and baby soon let me know it was there and ok.
If you're really concerned give the maternity unit or midwife a call for advice. My midwife said they would only get concerned one I was in the high 20s for weeks if there was significant change. I'm now 32+1 and her face even I told her there was barely nothing on Monday and then it went nuts all day Tuesday was a picture. Back to normal by Wednesday though.
At your stage you could still have periods of a few days at a time of inactivity. Try some of the above and see how u get on. Sending hugs.

Is the big thread the pregnancy club one? I need to head over there too. So scary. Hope everyone is ok and scans are going well. Ttfn :)
  • Had my 16 week appointment with the midwife today - everything is looking good and baby's heartbeat was found straight away which is reassuring. Its starting to sink in we might actually end up with a real baby at the end of all this!

The extra day off off for the Bank holiday did me the world of good - had a lazy day at home and felt great today - hope the rest of the second trimester contimues like this! Makes such a difference not to feel like a zombie!

Just catching up with everyone's news!

Not much to report here. We had to pull out of our house purchase last week after the survey said the house were were planning to buy was a lemon. Nothing at all on the market in our price range that we like, so unless something comes up soon, we'll be staying put, and not have much room for baby stuff at all. Still not bought anything, but we both have the same day off in a fortnight, so think we'll go looking at prams/car seats/cots.

I've felt baby move every day for the last couple of weeks (22 +4 now). Today was the first time baby moved so much it made me recoil! It was much higher up than I expected - I only thought it went to about an inch over my belly button, but it's obviously a bit higher.

I've bought some maternity clothes from New Look online, reasonably priced, free delivery the next day, and free returns to store, so about half fitted and the rest were no trouble to take back :) No bras for me yet, I must be the only one here that hasn't grown!

Nicky if only every week was 4 days! I am a teacher so dreading going back to work after 6 weeks off and taking it easy.

Time flies least you found out the house was a dud before things went too far. Am sure you will manage as the more space you have the more you buy to fill it, we have stuff everywhere as I decided baby should have the bigger spare room though sure I would have been more contained if we had decided to use the small box room and not spent so much money on random stuff!
Hmmmy new look order did not come next day despite spending a fortune! I must have ticked the wrong box. Think I now have plenty of clothes, just need a coat. The one I ordered from new look is definitely going back. Definitely easier to order online though,I also like the collect option as usually no one is home to sign for it.

Any one had any gum problems? I went to the dentist last week as I have what feels like skin hanging away from my tooth. She put it down to swollen gums and cleaned the tooth and said it would go down. Still got the same problem so wondered if anyone had experienced this and knew how long it would take to return to normal.

Oh that's a shame about your new look order tia86 - I did have to tick what looked like a paid for delivery for next day, but it clearly said on the site it would be free for that amount, and it was. I do think some of the online descriptions are rubbish though! I returned three bump bands described as a "navy three pack" with a picture of one white one black and one navy, as they were all navy, and there was a coat that looked like it might have been good, but I couldn't tell if it had buttons/zip or tie a waist tie. I guess if it's not too much hassle to return things and it's free to deliver & return it's ok, but they'd get less returns if their descriptions were better!

I did have bleeding gums early on in the pregnancy, but the dentist said it was normal; they're fine now.

I've not seen the list for a while - who's scan is up next?

Hi ladies, I'm just moving over from the previous thread.

I'm currently 12.5 weeks pregnant with twins; I had a private scan at 11 weeks that revealed the twins (eek) but am still waiting for my first NHS scan following my midwife apppintment a week ago.

    :-)

It's me next :j a week today, can't wait to find out if we're team pink r team blue, I keep finding myself looking at pink things but that's probably because if we're blue I won't need to buy anything.

I've had my first proper kicks tonight, been feeling flutters and pressure for a couple of weeks, mostly when I'm trying to sleep but these were proper kicks and a punch too I think.
