Welcome! We are due date buddies! The listi think can be updated if someone is on a computer (unless people have better tablets/know how to copy and paste on a tablet)
Lotti hope the scan goes OK next week
Mrs TM I put lots of stuff in the bin, both the bounty pack and Emma's diary stuff does contain some rubbish! Hope you did find some useful stuff amongst it too.
Wow another set of twins, congrats pington0 -

I go through everything for the samples and vouchers, then trash the rest. I really like the hooded towels that come in the packs now it seems, even if they do say persil on them! I have 4 of the towels at the moment, 2 from when I was pregnant with Dale and 2 because my current midwife handed me 2 bounty packs at my booking in!
If no one wants the vouchers on here after a week or so, I'll offer them on my local freegle, and a week after that, freecycle. Then if they still aren't wanted, I'll stick them to our bin out front saying "FREE!". If no one takes them by black bin day, the bin men will trash them. I figure, I can at least try to help someone instead of trashing the ones I won't use.
I don't know if I did a 'proper' intro when I moved over here or not, but here is my info:
Mrs_T_M - EDD 24 February 2015, team yellow (for now), 20 week scan 8 October 2014, 28 week scan 8 December 2014 (due to previous stillbirth and medication)

19th December is my birthday, and my niece's birthday
Does anyone know what kind of weight gain is normal/healthy by 12/13 weeks?
Despite being 12.5 weeks pregnant with twins and not having thrown up at all, I've not put on any weight since before I was pregnant. It's starting to concern me a bit; it certainly feels like I'm eating lots.0 -
Pington not sure about weight gain, I found a site online that plotted a graph of average, low and high amounts to put on for your height but advise not to do it. I thought I haven't put on much but it plotted me as at the top end for the week!! I expect its different with twins and may be something to discuss with your midwife if worried.0
-
Thanks Tia. I've found similar charts but haven't managed to find anything twin-specific, other than something that will draw you a range chart if you puts your stats in.
I'm not too concerned yet because the lower end of expected weight gain at this stage is minimal; I think I just need to keep an eye on it. Will definitely mention it next time I see the midwife, and potentially when I have my first appointment with my consultant. Although I've no idea at this point what the consultant does?!0 -
The consultant will vary based on why you have been referred to them. I saw one briefly after the 20 week scan but didn't get any information from him, just told to go back in a week for another scan as they couldn't get all the measurements. I didn't have to see a consultant after that, so still not sure what the point was.
It may be because of twins or if you have any health conditions or previous complications.0 -
The reason for mine is just the twins. I'm still waiting for my scan date and first consultant appointment to come through so I guess I'll have to wait until then to find out anything really!0

I've taken off those that have graduated to the final thread.
Welcome Lullaby87, it seems like you're only 12-24weeks for a day or so, so maybe you can add yourself to the next one up tomorrow!
Welcome Pington, do add yourself to the list! (The numbers are thinning out - was there something on telly in April or something? :rotfl:)
No news here, except my belly button is disappearing - quite unsettling!:eek:0 -
Oh Pington, about the weight gain, I meant to say, I didn't put on anything for the first 15 weeks or so, despite all the munching through the sickness. Then I put on 4lb in one week when baby had a little growth spurt.:D I've put on 14lb now after 23 weeks (not having twins though). I have my midwife check up on Monday and will ask if I'm an ok size/weight; she didn't measure or weigh me at my 16 week check, but did initially at the 8 week booking appointment. Definitely worth asking at your 16 week appointment if it reassures you - mine was all over in 5 mins and I was just a bit bamboozled to ask!0
