  • Yes I have had mild cramps on and off and definitely at 14 weeks.

    I have this morning:

    made cupcakes
    emptied and filled the dishwasher
    cleaned the surfaces
half cleaned the hob till lodger got in the way
    washed up
    cleaned out cutlery drawer
emptied out 2 cupboards in preparation for sorting
    made and eaten beakfast

I am about to get washed and dressed before decorating the cupcakes, wrapping my friend's present, writing her card and then driving 90 mins to see her.

Seriously don't know how you people with kids already do anything. This is the most productive I've been in months. Think DH not getting under my feet helps!

Wow lilmiss, do you want to come round my house and do some cooking and cleaning out?? Cupcakes sound yummy
I am using pregnancy as an excuse to do anything much lol! Never been keen on housework. Hoping nearing the end nesting will kick in

I spent around 15-16 weeks doing nothing and lying in bed! The mythical burst of energy has only just vaguely surfaced and like I say I think it is due to DH not getting in the way!

Oh and i should add done 2 sets of pelvic floor exercises!

  • Tia- look up round ligament pain. I was having cramping feelings that went from inside my hip to my uterus that freaked me right out (as I have perfected a voice of doom inner monolgue!)- it might explain your cramps! :)
  • Hayfever tip - in addition to the vaseline under the nose suggestion, I have just remembered I used to use body shop elderflower gel under my eyes - it did seem to work then so going to try again if i can find where i packed it when we moved!

I'm going to have to try this before I resort to using hubbies prescription... Again I woke up at 3am unable to breath and sneezing, then 4am, then 5am it was at 5am that I came out to the couch and was able to drift off again whilst semi sat up. It's like a combination cold/hay fever that I've got at the moment bleurgh. My nose is sooooo sore :rotfl:

I read my scan notes properly yesterday and it's been noted that Limited resolution with poor quality image due to patient body hiatus. I think the health professionals should stop blaming magazines, tv, films etc for peoples unhealthy view of body image and look in the mirror, never in my life have I had so many health professionals comment that I'm overweight etc. It's upset me more than I though it would even though I know I'm not the perfect size :o.

I really want to do nothing this weekend as I'm shattered but we're heading to a BBQ this afternoon and my nieces 3rd birthday party tomorrow.

I couldn't agree more. I'm a size 16 and 5ft 7. There are many many people out there bigger than me and yet I get made to feel like the biggest woman who was ever pregnant.
I'm still a stone lighter than when I found out I was pg and I'm 21+2 now. Everyone says I look great but the health professionals make me feel I should be a twig.
Anyway I've just stuffed a lemon bun in my mouth so enough worrying about that :)

Funny enough I haven't had this experience at all. My BMI at booking in was 31, but nobody has even mentioned my weight. I've had three scans at 7, 9 and 13 weeks and at all of them the sonographers had no problems, I got great photos and there's nothing whatsoever about my weight/BMI in my notes other than the actual number. I'm allowed a home birth or MLU as long as I'm still low risk by then. I was expecting to have a telling off but I haven't. Even when I told the midwife I was worried about eating so many carbs/stodge as that's all I fancied for ages, she just laughed and said not to worry, I"d fancy fruit again sooner or later. Perhaps it depends on your trust guidelines (I'm under Swindon).

Then again we get three rounds of funded IVF, and we were given tests etc for infertility really quickly without having to fight for them or even turn on the tears. I think we're pretty lucky here.
  • Well elderflower gel seemed to help.

Been out at friend's all day with her two little ones, came home via supermarket and enjoying a quiet night in with the telly.

Complete day to self tomorrow so got to decide what to do - lots of sorting to do...

    Eeek 23+5

Angeltreats- great to hear of a positive story!

Angeltreats it's amazing how different areas operate. You would think that it would be standardised across the country considering it's the National Health Service. Ah well will keep on eating what I am but I@m having lots of fruit and choosing healthy when I can/want.

BBQ wasn't too bad and luckily got the chicken that was fully cooked whereas hubby got a half cooked drumstick . Great catching up with friends but am shattered now. Also found out that one of our friends is pregnant with her second and she's about 6.5-7 weeks gone, really happy for her as she had a mc earlier in the year so very happy that she's pg again.

Had someone pull their face at the name we've chosen saying it was really popular right now but we don't care as everyone else really liked it and so do we.

We've chosen Arya Rose for the name, yes Arya is from Game of Thrones but I'm sure the hype will have died down by the time she's at school, and Rose after Beauty and the Beast, as we used them as our cake topper and I have the rose tattooed on my shoulder. I know I said that I didn't want an A or B name due to our surname but I always secretly liked Arya but don't tell hubby :rotfl:.

Stopped at the shops on the way home and now have vaseline and vapor rub to try out tonight, hopefully I'll be able to sleep.

Eek lilmiss not long until you move up to the big girls thread.

Hope everyone else has a cooler and hayfever free night xx
