delurking to say I went to the doctors with my hayfever as it was awful :( but she couldn't give me anything! she said it was either antihistamines or steroids both which of which they didn't like giving them in pregnancy! but she did mention specifically in late pregnancy - and I was 36 weeks when I went, so maybe you'll have some luck?

there is a nasal spray you can get from most chemists (it's cheapest in Asda) which says on the side suitable for use by pregnant women - it's called prevalin allergy spray and it's meant to coat the inside of your nose with a gel to prevent it getting irritated! I bought it though and it wasn't much help but you could always try it :)

I am taking a one a day loratadine tablet which is fine in pregnancy.

Here is the NHS advice on it - http://www.nhs.uk/chq/pages/935.aspx?categoryid=54 . You can read and make up your own mind :) the doctors know no more than is on that page (my sister is a doctor and I asked her to look into it for me. She, too, said it is fine to take)

We've been told to buy honey that was made locally and eat/drink that and it should help. I'm not sure how it works but has something to do with the bees collecting local pollen which is also causing your hay fever.

Wendz - I echo the others and my heart goes to you. I can't even imagine how this would be and won't try so will just say I really hope you and your family will be ok. Will be thinking of you and sending a big virtual group hug from us all (hope no-one minds me inclduing them).

fireyfirenze - I had heard, however haven't tried it myself and luckily don't suffer that some vaseline under each nostril can work and obviously very safe for you and babba. I hope you get this sorted soon.

I hope everyone is ok and has a nice weekend. xx

I saw my Uncle who's a pharmacist and he gave me loratadine tablets too after consulting his book of medicines.

I popped into Boots yesterday as my eyes were killing me and they refused to let me buy any eye drops as it didn't say whether it was suitable or not. However DH has prescription eye drops so I've used his :o

I was awake from 3.30am due to hayfever, dozed til about 5.00am then just couldn't stop sneezing so took a tablet and went and lay down on the couch, think I got another hour or so but feeling really poo now and we're out tonight so can't even look forward to slobbing it when I get home lol.
