Aww. They really are part of the family aren't they! My life has changed so much since getting him. Very good prep for being a mummy! He gives us so much pleasure every day, even though he is a little rascal!
I hope my baby grows up being best friends with him!0 -
:rotfl: lilmiss at least your hubby laughed even if it was a guilty one.
Forgot to say that the pharmacist said that loratadine is essentially useless to treat hayfever as it doesn't treat the symptoms *confused*. I'll let you know how I get on with the spray and plug in fingers crossed I'm able to sleep tonight.

Love the doggy! He looks like a happy chappy. Is his name Monty (ie is your username after him)?
I have been stalking the For Sale pages on Facebook and have got a few bits and pieces, today I picked up a massive bundle of unisex stuff for tiny baby, newborn and 0-3, plus muslins, hooded towels, blankets and all sorts of stuff. I'm pretty much sorted now until the baby is too big for the 0-3 months size. My mum isn't too impressed at me buying second hand stuff but for goodness sake I am not wasting money buying lots of brand new stuff that'll be outgrown in a week or two! Especially as we have to buy another car which is an expense we weren't expecting.0 -
i also hope that my baby grows up to be best buds with our furbaby, just need to cure the later's habit of nibbling and throwing up in the car, not usually at the same time.0

His name is mylo
monty was my childhood family dog.
I've got a huge bundle of newborn stuff second hand too. They all look brand new and I agree silly to spend all that when they may only wear them once! We don't have the money to keep buying more and more either. I'm so happy with my bundle, my mum got them for me and is going to wash them all in soap flakes so they are super soft0 -

Hmm I'm confused too now. What is it for?! Explains why it does naff all. Hope the vaseline etc helps.

I've seen it. None of them have a weird flabby B-shaped belly either. (The sooner it fills itself in, the better.) I bet if they took their bras off they wouldn't have boobies covered in big blue veins.0 -
My mum was weird about me buying secondhand things- not sure where on earth she thought we would get the money to buy everything new! We've kitted baby out until it's at least 6 months old (some things will last much longer though- toys etc.) for about £650 total. Still have to buy an isofix base, baby monitor and a high chair. Would rather not have to make 'big' purchases whilst I'm on mat leave so if I get everything I need now it's better for me financially.
It also (at the risk of sounding a right cow) hopefully will stop people from buying me things I don't want/ aren't right for us etc. The amount of brand new things for sale at the baby sale I went to today was upsetting- so much waste! I don't want a baby shower (can't think of anything worse- i hate being centre of attention though) and I'd much rather people either didn't spend the money, donated to some charity that needs it or if they wanted to buy something bought things like courses (baby massage, swimming etc.) doubt it'll happen though as I'd never ask for that at the risk of sounding like a b*tch so knowing me i'll end up with 1 million bouncers that i'll never be able to get rid of as I am a terrible hoarder!0 -
I've told my mum that if any of the family asks her what to buy us (not being grabby here, I know that they will) to please please tell them 3-6 months or 6 months+. Every mum I know says they were given so much baby stuff that much of it was outgrown before it was even worn. I think we'll look at second hand prams too, but will wait till a bit further down the line.
I'm on a mission to start eating better. My diet has been so poor since I've been pregnant and all I crave is stodge and rubbish. I'm starting the day with a banana, pineapple and honey smoothie which is very nice, got a huge fruit salad made up to bring to work, and going to start making up soups again as I can pack so many veggies into them.0
