Right I'm officially taking myself off this list but sadly for you that doesn't mean I'm gone altogether. off up to the big girls thread

See you all there soon and chat sooner on this thread too!

  • For about the aslt 3 weeks I have been on a health kick. Finally fancying more healthy food so lots of fruit and veg - museli with fresh fruit for breakfast. My weight gain according to an online thngs is a bit above where it should be and I don't think I can kid myself it's all boobs!

Alioops - so glad you found a solution. Such a relief. :j

Freebiequeenie - good luck back at work.

tcod or death know what you mean about getting a lot of stuff you don't need. Just have to suck it up I suppose to an extent. Have been making an effort to show my mum what I've bought/been given each time she comes round to rein her in. She's now all gung ho to send me and DH on a weekend away. It's a lovely thought but I can't be bothered and think it would be a waste. I like being home and sorting things out while i have energy and when I'm bigger, what's the point!? Won't be able to enjoy rare meat if we go out, drinks or probably walking by that stage. So I said thanks but no thanks but if she felt so inclined she could do first baby sit so we can go to the restaurant walking distance from us for a steak, red wine and cheese board :D

I also didn't know that about the placenta. Interesting - mine's anterior too so make's sense. DH could feel movement only if he had his ear on my belly. Only in the last week could he feel it on the outside.

View - sorry they weren't very helpful. Other than feeling tired I didn't feel much at 19 weeks. I felt my first movements at 19+4 just before my scan but someone at work had to wait until 24 weeks and she is very slim!

AFM DH got his results for his english lit and lang degree today. He got...wait for it...a 1st class degree and a special prize for getting the joint top mark in his dissertation! I'll be honest I cried with happiness :j

Talking of weight gain I've still not put any on. Should I be worried?
I lost 1.5 stone in first 8 weeks, gained half a stone by 14 weeks now I'm still a stone lighter than the start. I've a good size bump and I am eating!

it's good to know that others didn't/don't feel anything at around 19wks. I'm no where near slim so it's possibly the "internal cushionness" that's blocking it! :o:o really hoping I feel something soon ....
  • Monty- I've only just started to gain. I didn't have a weight loss at the start of pregnancy like you but have stayed the same/ 2-3lbs lighter up until this last week when I've gained 2lbs and my bump is really notcieable all of a sudden. As long as bump is growing my consultant and mw weren't bothered about weight gain. Apparently the third trimester is where you gain most weight anyway.

View- you might have an anterior placenta (at front of uterus rather than back). They'll tell you on your 20 week scan or you can ask. If it's anterior it can stop you feeling movements until baby is a bit bigger. :) my placenta has moved higher up towards the top and baby is bigger so it's really obvious now when the little b*gger decides to kick-especially in the bladder! :) have put your dates back in. :)

Thanks. You worry because each site says you should gain x amount by this stage. I'm still not feeling anything. I had bubbles and flutters at 17 weeks. I'm almost 22 weeks now and nothing at all.
Scan was fine last Thursday so I'm wondering at what point are they concerned there's no movement? Baby was asleep at the scan so very little movement there either.

I'm turning into such a worry wort!
