Just popping in to say bye for a little while - just about all sorted for going to Portugal tomorrow. Leaving DH and DS at home - hope they manage to cope without me until Saturday night! DH had a tooth pulled out today so not the best timing, but it's partly his own fault for ignoring the toothache for months until it got really bad. See you all soon! x0

Have a great time in Portugal bluebell
Welcome LailaP congrats on your happy scan news.
We are getting most things second hand too. My gran has bought us a second hand crib from a charity shop and we also have the Moses basket OH had as a baby. OH's sister has a cotbed we can have for when baby is bigger, so she'll be well sorted for places to sleep!
We are going for a new travel system though, which we ordered at the weekend (eek!) That's getting delivered on Friday so it's all starting to feel a bit real now.
I started telling people at work too and the rumour mill will make sure it gets round everyone I'm sure.
Hope everyone is doing ok, WD X

Have a great time bluebell.
Welcome LailaP, glad the scan went well. It is nice to see some of my less than 12 weeks classmates moving over
I had to pull my first sick day in about 5 years yesterday. I had terrible heartburn all night Sunday and then woke about and started with D & S coming at the same time!! I then had an awful day yesterday with really bad cramps after I hate some toast and I only moved from the bed and sofa for essentials.
I felt fantastic on Sunday daytime, the best I have for about 6-8 weeks so I was really disappointed to be ill. Feeling much better today though
I ordered the cotbed from Kiddicare at the weekend and it got delivered yesterday so I will open that today and see if it is as nice as it looked online. There was 15% off nursery furniture and a further 10% cashback with Quidco
I still have not told everyone at work yet wangdoodle, only two close colleagues. Can't really bring myself to tell my boss for some reason...:/

I just wondered about others but my breasts have stopped being sore and they have not grown in size at all.
My friend is 12 weeks pg and sent me a belly pic and she is really showing but I am not AT ALL! NOTHING! I thought I would be at least showing a bit by now but seems I only had a poo bump :-/
I am only a B cup and I am starting to worry I may not grow big enough and produce enough milk...0 -
*delurking from 'big pg thread' and possibly butting in! Oops!
Jenand8285 - don't worry! Your friend might just be bloated! 12 weeks is early to be showing. Baby is still right down in the pelvis then. At 15 weeks (c. Where you are now, I wasn't showing, and I'm now 25 weeks and still fit some pre-pg jeans! I am showing as my innards have moved higher, but baby is kicking just belly my belly button as I'm typing this... They stay lower than you think.)
Your boobs have prob just got used to the hormone changes... They'll probably start hurting again later on! Plus, even if they get no bigger, which isn't unusual, size has no impact on milk supply, so you'll be finePlease forgive the badly spelt alias... I'm 16 weeks today and my breasts have not grown in size at all (thank goodness, they're big enough at a GG!) but I still get the odd twinge and pain occasionally.Don't worry about not being "big enough" to produce enough milk - my cousin was a B and her milk ended up coming in later on her in pregnancies, but feeding wasn't a problem - she ended up breast-feeding until both of her little ones were well past 6 months.
I'm barely showing at all either, jenand8285 - the only time DH and I notice there is a bump is when I'm lying down! I wouldn't worry about the fact you're not really showing yet, baby is growing as he/she should and there is plenty of time for you to be showing later. Everybody's body is different and reacts in different ways!
After all the drama of last week, things seem to have eased off my end. I was off work most of last week taking it easy and recouping after my stay in hospital and am having a staggered return this week so I don't risk over-doing it. I'm feeling alright in myself other than tired, my hormones are well and truly raging and I'm bursting into tears quite often for no reason. I'm still spotting a bit mind you, which I'm going to discuss with the consultant at my appointment on Friday. Lots of twinges with baby, which we assume must be growing/stretching pains given we suddenly noticed a little bump when I was lying down the weekend just gone! Hoping things continue to stay nice and calm, fingers crossed.
Welcome LailaP! :T

Just echoing everyone else.
Firstly 12 weeks is really early to be showing, the baby is tiny and very low down. Tbh at this stage, any belly showing is more likely to be just bloatingI didnt really start to look pregnant until around 20 weeks or more.
Boob size has nothing to do with milk. Boob size is just fatty tissue.
My friend was an A/B and then her boobs massively got full of milk when it came in and shes still feeding at 15 months.0 -
hello, just moving (sneaking) across from the under 12 week's thread, had my 12 week scan today and it turns out I'm actually 13+1 which is a bit of a shock. They couldn't do the nuchal scan as baby wasn't playing ball, and also they couldn't get a great picture but we got something. Got to have the Quad test now so got to get hold of my community midwife asap so she can arrange it.
Going to go public at work tomorrow which is really scaring me, totally terrified how my boss will take it as I only started my new role on the 1st and it was going to be a testing job even without a pregnancy being added to the mix.
hope to get to know you all before you progress0 -
I had my 16 week midwife appointment yesterday, all going fine, baby's hearting beating away nicely and they could hear lots of movement im there too! I asked about how tired and dizzy
i have been feeling and she double checked my blood tests from last time, checked my BP and urine and told me everything seems fine, so nothing to worry about.
Consultant appointment on 31st March (fingers crossed I do not need a stitch) and 20 week scan on 9th April .
any name 17+00 -
Thankyou Robots, Miss_I and Claire for the reassurance.
Welcome Lemon Tree and congrats on the first scan x So amazing isn't it?! Good luck today. With all the mistakes I am making at work lately I really should go public, at least then I would have an excuse lol.
I can not wait to hear the heartbeat any name. I will be 15+1 at my 16 week appointment so hope the mw will do it. I am taking the hubby along on the promise we should get to hear it.0
