Hi ladies,
Hugs Miss_I for the bleeding, and Robots hope your dog is ok x
I am so tired still it's unreal. At my next midwife appointment I am going to mention it, as I am starting to wonder if I need my iron levels checking. I am scary pale with dark (even for me) bags under my eyes, and generally feel quite horrible. We have friends coming for the night and I am wondering how I am going to stay awake past 9pm. I am also getting quite swollen ankles and feet towards the end of the day- oh the joys!
I also desperately need to start looking for maternity trousers- I am mainly wearing leggings one size bigger than pre- pregnany, and trousers that were a little on the big side, but I am having to leave the top button undone most of the time.
I have rather short legs, and generally find finding trousers challenging at the best of times, so I am not looking forward to hunting for maternity ones. I reckon I can carry on with leggings or tights for work, but need a pair of something I can wear for walking the dog and the odd practical session at work. Trouble is, as my baby is due at the end of august, I am going to be really big when it is hot, so don't want to buy anything dark, heavy or tight. I was thinking a pair of cargo trousers or similar, but I am struggling to find any.

Mrs_I, I'm glad the bleeding is stopping and the hospital weren't too concerned.
Robots, I'm sorry to hear the news about your dog. I hope that the vets are able to treat it.
I'm going to try a 'trial pack' for my trip to Portugal in just over a week's time - definitely going to remember the underwearNeed to work out if I can realistically carry it all in a small rucksack, or if I'm going to have to take a suitcase and check it in. Only 5 days - should be do-able as hand luggage, right? (I am rubbish at packing light).

Any name, over bump trousers from Next are what I found the most comfortable last time I was pg. I got them second hand off ebay to keep the cost down. Under bump trousers were just horrible - they would always fall down! I think my hips just weren't the right shape to hold them up.0

Any name - I got a bump bandeau (Jersey fabric, with button holes to attach into your existing trousers) from JOJOMamanBebe and I Love it! It's supportive but not restrictive, and at 23 weeks in still in my pre-pg jeans
I also wear M&S leggings (not maternity) as they have a v wide waistband which is still so comfy... Had them from early pg and they are still just as comfy. I also got 2 pairs of under bump jeans from NewLook Xmas sale, they are ok, but the sizing is a bit odd.
- in the spirit of making the most of Us as a couple b4 baby comes, and making the most of our time with our dog, we went for a lovely sunny walk & pick nic today. Hey ladies, I'll say goodbye from this thread now, as I'm 24 weeks today, but will no doubt lurk from time to time.
Best of luck to everyone, and see you on the next thread xPlease forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
Bye robots. I can't wait to be that far on!
Thanks for all the replies deny oh's reluctance to get excited. Defo helps knowing others have been in similar situations.
My appetite is all over the place. All I want is something from the chippy, fruit juice, chocolate or milkshakes.
I stopped taking folic acid about 14 weeks. Is anyone else still taking it? I can't handle pregnacare so stuck with folic acid + vit d.
I am also in declutter mode so listing losts
on ebay to make some money & some space!0 -
So, went out to buy maternity trousers, and came home with a new bag and purse.
There was a good sale on, so it seemed rude not to!0 -
I'm another one who is not relaxing till the 20 week scan, which is on Friday.
We haven;t even told people so I'm walking around trying to hide a bump, which is ridiculous really. I'm sure everyone knows. Although my friend who knows said I just look fat!! I don't think I do - I just have a bump at the front.
I am really looking forward to going public now. Can;t believe I am halfway already.
I've hardly posted on here because I am still soooo tired. I went to bed at 7.30 last night! Usually I have a nap when OH comes home, for a couple of hours. I managed to get a voucher on Groupon for a 2D gender scan. It was on offer from £50 to £23.50 and then they gave me a £10 off!! So £13.50
I do not mind if they can not tell me, I will just be happy to see him/her again (I do not feel right calling it a bean since the 12 week scan, certainly does not look like a bean anymore)0
