  • Gosh how scary MissI, I'm glad they took good care and acted quickly, and that all is ok *hugs*
Very scary - I tried to stay as calm as possible today, thinking positive as it wasn't a lot of blood and I had no pain, but god knows I was frightened. Very impressed with the health professionals, they've really looked after me today. *hugs* Still bleeding a bit, not a lot, but I wish it would stop already even though I've been looked over and all is fine with me and baby.

Big welcome to jenand8285! Lovely to see you! :j

That happened to me Miss I at 20 weeks, I could feel the baby moving but it was very scary. They couldnt find a cause for me either.

It stopped but then came back 1 week later, same thing again, no cause found.

How scary Miss_I glad everything is ok for you x

    Welcome Jenand8285

Flat you got your dental work done Robots and I hope you get sorted with maternity allowance.

Glad your midwife appointment went well Disney it's ace hearing the heartbeat, isn't it?

AFM, I actually went and bought some little vests today for baby. I felt a but fraudulent, like I shouldn't be doing it, but I guess that's because I've still not told many people.

I think in going to tell everyone at work tomorrow or Friday. I'm going to have to. I've been putting it off for as long as possible!

    WD x

    Thank you.

I told two colleagues today who are in my office and work close to me.

I can not decide when to tell my boss though. I maybe in line for a promotion, and I know that employers are not suppose to discriminate against pregnant employees, it does happen. I also have two pg related appointments this month and do not want to use anymore of my holidays.

Hugs miss I that sounds super scary but I'm glad they took such good care of you and little bubs was well x

Welcome Jen nice to see you here x

AFM just got back from my 16 week midwife appointment and all is well, the top of my uterus is about 2 inches above my belly button and really far forward which is why I have quite a mahoosive bump already! Also got to hear the heartbeat she found it straight away and I got to have a good listen which was wonderful.

    Hugs to all

    Hi everyone!
Just a quick question, more so for those ladies who have had mc in the past.
    I'm now 16+4
I am getting quite excited & trying really hard not to dwell on my previous mc. My OH who is usually the optimistic, supportive one but basically does not want to talk about this pregnancy. He recently opened up to me, explaining that he was worrried I was getting ahead of myself, getting a baby names book & starting to look at prams etc
He was worried that of something bad did happen with this pregnancy that it would hit me much harder as I am planning ahead.

Anyone else been in a similar position? My OH did say he thinks he will relax more after our 20 week scan but I'm not so sure!

Am I looking too far into things? Anytime we start to talk my hormones take over & I end up crying for no relax reason

Creditcrunch - he is just protecting himself as well as you xx We were both the same as this - really it took until the 20 week scan until we started talking about future plans with our new baby! Prior to this DH didn't really talk about it - I think its different for the female as we 'feel' different and can feel the baby. He will be planning with you soon!

Yes, we were the same too, and didn't really let ourselves enjoy the pregnancy until after the 20 week scan. It was so amazing to see the development from 12 weeks, and with the baby moving then it's just so reassuring and so nice. Now we talk about things a lot although more from my side. I am still waaaaay more excited! I hope you two can get to a good place soon Credit Crunch.

I dont think either of us relaxed until the 20 week scan Creditcrunch, its perfectly normal. And then because I had the bleeding a week later, I felt like we had been lulled into a false sense of security even with that, and we'd been and bought a moses basket and some clothes etc. Luckily that was ok in the end.

We were a bit the other way round though, I avoided telling people, whereas DH couldnt help but tell everyone he was very excited.
