I've not had much sleep either Mrs C so am grumpy so it's probably a good thing that our visitors are asleep, not sure I could actually hold a conversation.

went to a quiz last night, last minute invitation and we won!!! don't remember winning a quiz for years, won wine which is really useful at the moment, or even normally given that I'm tee total and the hardest drink hubby will have is a snowball at Christmas.

Me and my mum are normally really close I don't know why she does it sometimes. Ah we'll.
I've just corrected spelling in my last post was a bit gobbledygook that's what six am typing does to you :)

What a miserable rainy day. I'm off to the butchers soon where they sell those yummy vanilla slices. Baby says it wants one :)

Lemon, where in London will you be? If its anywhere near Westfield west London we could meet for some (slightly uncomfortable to begin with) baby shopping and ginger tea??

Oh.. Assuming I'm not on bedrest that is!
  • I had the worst night's sleep - all DH fault.

Awake just before midnight due to his screeching/whining/rumbling snoring. Woke him up and he used his spray so that helped.

Awake around 2am as he was talking in his sleep about everything being alright. I told him yes everything will be alright, he agreed with me and shut up.

Awake around 4am as he was talking again. This time I caught something about the 5ft bread. His response this time to me reassuring him was to (TMI alert) fart and then lift his right butt cheek to release an astoundingly long and loud fart. He shut up again.

He was also tossing and turning like he was bouncing up and down on the bed throughout the night. At one point he was sleeping on his back with his knees up.

My goodness all I cannot believe how rude people are! I got told by someone I don't look like I'm blooming yet. I agreed and she went on to say it was all a hideous lie and actually she had just felt better than the first and third trimester but nowhere near blooming.

Skipped pg yoga. Tired and cross with everyone. While the movements are good she spends a lot of time talking and 90% is absolute nonsense (what goes on up here - taps head - has nothing to do with what happens in your body. Yeah right love, mind and body are in no way connected. Moron.)

MrsC - I would like to formally apply to join the grumpy club today

Lemontree - congrats on the quiz and good luck for any future MIL encounters. Sounds like a good plan for next time!

mrknight :rotfl:i'm half laughing. Yes of course you had complete control over when you got pregnant. These things are entirely under our control!

Just been to the NCT sale. I didn't get much, apparently it's impossible to get nice neutral baby clothes, everything was very much boy or girl, blue or pink. I did get a few babygros, a little yellow and white stripey outfit, some winter jackets for 3-6 months, some dinosaur slippers, a couple of bump bands, and a lovely red Mothercare maternity mac for me. All for the grand total of £12, so it was definitely worth going. My husband is shocked that I didn't buy more, or that I didn't buy anything totally inappropriate/unsensible/that he was going to need to repair :rotfl:

It's been a while but thought I'd swing by to say hi, glad to see pregnancies are progressing well.

T2D bed rest sounds like a nightmare but guess you have to do what's best for you and the baby.

I finally had my 20 week scan yesterday- got rescheduled as they were short staffed when we were due to go in. Am 23 weeks today so was quite late, so reassuring to know everything is as it should be.

Am starting to enjoy pregnancy a bit more now- finally succomed to buying maternity work wear last weekend so have felt good about my body this week! Lots of comments on me looking really neat, blooming and well! So I'll take that ;)

Moved house three weeks ago, so lucky with the timing of the completion - have been able to still do the packing and unpacking and decorating thankfully. Would've hated not being able to do it- has been a bit frustrating not feeling like "me", but played rounders and did a nice 8-mile bike ride to work at the start of the week so hoping can continue with that sort of stuff for the foreseeable.

Getting so excited about being a parent, have been really lucky on the MSE front as one of my best friends has long term loaned us cot and icandy pushchair, and given us a car full of clothes and other bits. Plus managed to buy a bag of maternity tops and nursing bras from one of my wife's friends for £20. Picked up maternity trousers from the clearance Mamas and Papas in the bullring- thoroughly recommend it if anyone is near Birmingham :D
    Total money owed: [STRIKE]31/07/11- £17,877[/STRIKE], LBM - 14/10/12 :j, 01/06/13 - £0 DEBT FREE!!!!
New challenge- save an extra £5000 from non-salary -£1600 (32%)

I feel like I have missed loads over the last day or so...been reading but just really tired!

I would like to announce...with some slight trepidation and fear of tempting fate...I have not vomited since Monday morning!!! And while I have been tired this week it has not been crippling, stopping me function tiredness. Is this the bloom?!

Sorry to hear about the horrid in laws Lemon Tree. I agree with those who say if your husband is not bothered about arranging to see her, why should you make the effort? So what if she says something horrible about you...it's not as if you will understand it anyway! But I understand it is hard where family is concerned.

Peonie sorry to hear you are still feeling rough. I hope they can help you and at least you can rest at home.

lilmiss I can't believe someone said that about not blooming yet! How rude. People ought to learn they should say NOTHING that could be seen as even slightly negative to a pregnant lady! We are sensitive enough as it is!

monty doggy enjoy your lemon slice! :D my baby wants a soy chai latte. Definitely. What can we do? If baby wants it...:D

Mrs C sorry about lack of sleep and associated grumpiness. It is horrible. Really hope you have a better day today and a wonderful holiday!

    Welcome star :)

We are just waiting for a man to come and measure up the baby's room for a carpet. Then we are going straight out to get me my chai latte (!) and take some wallpaper back to the shop...might look for shoes too. I can't wear my usual heels for work but really hate wearing absolute flats. I like too be taller than at least one or two of the Year Sevens! Though as they grow over the year it is a losing battle!

Hope everyone has a lovely day, despite the rain :)
