  • V tired just woken from nap.

Daisiegg - why not read a bit of Emily Oster on drugs? She won't have any concerte answers but I always found her way of looking at things helpful. You are quite right in thinking that an antihistamine is preferable to anaphylaxis. Maybe it'll just make her sleepy short term? Chlorophenamine makes babies irritable at birth - maybe I'm down playing but that doesn't sound so bad so hopefully your one won't be awful either.

Also what Tinkwings said. Hope someone gave them what for.

We have paid for 19 hours of NCT today. £234 as we are in Band B

angel treats - my only non mobile relative is my grandmother. She is a 90 min drive away as is my aunt and uncle in a similar direction. My mother is 40 mins away also in a similar direction. Therefore all do-able in a day trip or via stopping over at my mother's or aunt and uncle who are more than happy to bring her.

monty-doggy - sorry to hear you are feeling rotten. Am slightly over my weight gain according to dr google but it has been steady I think (been weighed three times this year as don't own scales!). Re movement I would swear I felt something at 13 weeks then I felt absolutely nothing until 19+4 (day before scan). I have an anterior placenta so slowed things down. Lady at work felt nothing until 24 weeks. I feel like I know how you feel. I was really bummed at 19 weeks feeling that bump was too small so there must be something wrong along with not feeling movement. However all turned out well - think I just get myself in a mither around scans.

Hope you feel better soon. Would a food diary help you if you are worried? I think it is easy to forget what you have or haven't eaten and this means you ahve a written record to refer back to. Bit boring but then if you wanted to discuss with a dr etc might be easier to communicate your worries. Don't forget to add drinks in! :grouphug:

    Hi all,

Daisy - hope you are OK. Good job you have a good sense of when something has milk in it. I don't know much about it but sounds like you did the best thing to me.

Monty - hope you are feeling better. Go and see a doctor if you are worried.

Angel - that's a tricky one but i would imagine a holiday inn would still be pretty cheap nearer the time. My mum will be coming to stay with us to look after dd but will only stay as long as we want her.

We are off on holiday tomorrow to spain to stay with the grandparent in laws, getting up at 3 am ish eek so better get organised and hopefully have an early night...

Daisiegg please don't worry yourself about having to take an antihistamine. The benefits would have far outweighed any affect on your baby girl. I'm still taking diazepam but only when desperately needed as per my consultants instructions xx.

As for visitors I have no idea what's going to happen but we're in a 2 bed bungalow so no room for people to stay lol. My parents will probably be coming over but they stay at the Holiday Inn as it's easier for them.

I guess I should say hi as I am new to this thread :j
I am 23 weeks on Monday with DD2. Been a bit down as this week I have been getting really bad wind pains that are lasting for 2 hours or so. And err feeling a bit like a baby elephant as I have already put on 21 lbs due to lack of exercise doh.

Angel treats is this your first? I would let them come to stay a week or so after because by then you will have settled in at home but be very much willing for all the help they can offer with regards to cleaning, cooking and looking after the baby so you can nap :)

Daisie, I hope you feel better soon.

    Welcome Emmy.
I've had another funny turn in the shower, feeling feint and dizzy. I had to lie down on the bed. I've eaten a bit of chocolate but I feel awful, just exhausted. I weighed myself today and since last week I've lost 5lbs but I am eating. My weight is all over the place. I'm still a stone lighter than when I found out I was pg.
first I lost just under stone and a half, then I put half a stone back on now I've lost 5lbs.
I'm worrying now something might be wrong. It's horrible I've no scan until 19th June and I've not felt the baby move since the first time about two weeks ago but I am only 19+2 so might still be too early really.
    I feel a mess.
Monty, feeling feint and dizzy could be that your blood pressure is low, like the doctor thinks I have. Laying down is what I do. My MW said to contact the doctor so I suggest you do the same. Sorry I can't help with the weight issue but the MW/doctor may want to do a blood test to check for gestational diabetes which involves weight loss. I hope you feel movement soon.

Hello all. I feel better now but I did have some sharp pains in my left hand side low down, if I get them again I'm going to call the hospital. I think I got myself all worked up.

I'm mad at myself as I left some chocolate on my bed and my puppy has eaten it. It can kill dogs but luckily I don't think two squares of galaxy caramel will kill him. It must have been a few hours who and he seems fine. Bloody puppy is worse than a baby!

I've not thought about visitors get, both sets of parents live nearby so I don't need to worry about anyone staying. I just feel weird about breast feeding in front of anyone other than my mum or oh.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

you know how things suddenly hit you?
well today I've decided I must be pregnant as when I tried to bend down to pick something up, something got in the way and made it a bit awkward lol guess I'm going to have start bending from the knees now! it's weird but occasionally I need to persuade myself that I'm pregnant if that makes sense, guess I'm still not truly over the surprise of it.
hope you're all enjoying the sunshine, and/or having layin's, I made it till almost 9 today before I got up, latest I've been for months :)

Did you know about round ligament pain? It can happen on the left or right and I certainly get it it. Put a big dollop of worry on top and it could make the pain seem worse? Good idea to call if they become really bad or won't go away x

It's a never ending series of revelations to me too! Him indoors (:rotfl:) was having a right old party inside me last night, shaking his booty and according to internet he is 10.5 inches long so we kept measuring that out and putting it over my belly while feeling completely bewildered there was actually someone in there :D

Thanks, it does sound like ligament pain. I'm fine today! I hate the fact we don't know what's going on in there. The appointments are so far apart that anything could happen, and we wouldn't know. I don't know why I'm so worried, I've been fine all the way up until now. Next scan is in 11 days. It feels like forever away though!
