I did enquire re a nursery (it's a forest school) and they are booked until June 2015  so got my name down just in time to have a look around and reserve a spot for two days per week. (You have to have at least 2 days).

Totally shocked at this!! Need to get my bum into gear and start sorting out what we are going to do.

Peonie - hope you're feeling better by now. Sorry you've been unwell xx

Lilmiss - thanks for the childcare links :)

Anyone else finding the blood flow is being diverted from their brains with unfortunate consequences? In the last 24 hours, I have:

Booked a holiday for the wrong month (looks like we can transfer dates though..)

    Set fire to the kettle.

Gone out and left the front door wide open.

Better then when I was pg last summer though (before the m/c) when I forgot which side of the road to drive on...

Haha chickpea this made me laugh! I deffo have babybrain - incidents include:

    * booking my mum and auntie tickets for a show, but on separate rows
    * really screwing up my train tickets and using the wrong ones on wrong days so I have ended up paying a fortune having to replace them
    * forgetting to take numerous things with me whenever I leave the house
    * washing my apple, putting it in my pocket, visiting various offices in the building, eating my apple and putting it in the bin... then realising I still have my apple in my pocket. So god knows whose apple I picked up from their desk and ate on them!

My boss was in meetings all afternoon so I ended up sending an email. He was totally supportive as expected but still makes me a bit weepy! In his words 'the priority here is obvious'.

I can work from home, but on a pretty limited workload. Phew!! All done. Next scan on the 18th and I'll reassess after that. Thanks for the support ladies.

So pleased to hear you're all sorted T2D. What a worrying time - you truly are being tested to the limit! It's taken a lot to get there - but the reward will be worth it. TAKE IT EASY MISSUS! x

I've had another funny turn in the shower, feeling feint and dizzy. I had to lie down on the bed. I've eaten a bit of chocolate but I feel awful, just exhausted. I weighed myself today and since last week I've lost 5lbs but I am eating. My weight is all over the place. I'm still a stone lighter than when I found out I was pg.
first I lost just under stone and a half, then I put half a stone back on now I've lost 5lbs.
I'm worrying now something might be wrong. It's horrible I've no scan until 19th June and I've not felt the baby move since the first time about two weeks ago but I am only 19+2 so might still be too early really.
    I feel a mess.

Monty - hope you are OK. I had that fainting feeling in the shower but that was in the really early days. Maybe your blood pressure is a bit off. ring your midwife please xx

Tinks - that Evelyn elephant is gorgeous :) I wanted Evelyn as our baby's name but my OH won't allow it because he knew a hideous Evelyn!

How are people getting on with their baby name choices? We have narrowed ours down quite a bit but we're not telling anyone in real life that! People have too many opinions and I'd rather wait til baby is born (when they would have to be horrible to slag off baby's name then!)

Went to a Christening today and it was lovely - first one I've really enjoyed as I didn't have a feeling of slight jealously/embitterment about my infertility (I am an awful person!).

Started preggo yoga last week. Was ok - hardly exercise though - more sitting around, breathing, a few stretches and then a nap! Daisi - maybe even you could handle it with no repercussions!

Did any of the Lpool ladies go to the nearly new sale? I couldn't make it so wondering if there were any bargains? x

we have a short list of 2 names for our little girl but we have one that we've pretty much decided will be her name. We're not telling anyone other than close family, and yourselves, that we're having a girl, and we're not telling anyone what her name will be.

went to Pompeii tonight at the cinema and it was really good, it's been a good day all round really with getting some things progressed in the nursery and OH spending some time together.

Thank you the Elephants are my favourite make :) they are for a clients new grand daughter I just have her dob to finish :)

DH and I can agree on a boys name we totally don't agree on any girls names !!
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Alexander
    Jack
    Elijah
    Felix
    Zachary

We want to know what people can do to the name. Elijah and Felix are off the table already for that reason. Probably Zachary too as a first names as we know another Zachary too.
    Met DH to be 2010
    Moved in and engaged 2011
    Married 2012
    Bought a house 2013
    Expecting our first 2014 :T

    i love elephants as well.

watching the Born in the Wild elephant programme, i'm glad i'm not a mummy elephant! but their babies are soooooo cute.

lil miss, you're likely to find Alexander shortened to either Alex or Xander, can't think of anyone shortening Jack, but where I grew up that meant they lengthened it so they could call him Jacky but it's unlikely. Elijah was on my boys name list, some will just drop the E at the beginning. Again Zachary was on my list, probably to be shortened to Zac(k). Though they were unlikely to get past OH as his mother would have been unable to pronounce it at all (not that I gave a fig about that)
have you thought about initials when it's added to middle names and your surname, I was quite determined to be careful when it came to initials.
