Just heard bump's heartbeat for the first time :):)

    That is wonderful :)

How are you? Hope you are ok. You mentioned more hospital visits this week? Is it the placenta again? Sending hugs...I know the stress!!

I could do with one of those vanilla slices...

I'm lying in bed (yes... I know... Lazy mornings!) noticing my belly is really taking off. Its a good few inches above my belly button now and losing its B shape. Definitely going to be a properly massive D soon enough. Baby is quiet this morning through. I'll have to go eat and wake him up for reassurance.

Lying in bed is exactly what you should be doing right now!

Jealous of the belly. Mine is still resolutely B. Even though I occasionally feel the odd kick higher than my belly button, so why isn't it pushing out?! Also got the most horrendous stretch marks. They are actually painful. I had no idea they would be. One in the middle almost looks like it is going to bleed :(

My girly has been quiet this morning too. She was yesterday morning as well so I am wondering if her pattern of activity is changing. There does not seem to be any real rhythm yet. She used to have an almighty kick around when I got back into bed after going to the loo when hubby got up for work at 5am. I loved it (though it did stop me going back to sleep for an hour or so before I had to get up!) but she hasn't done that the last few days. Instead yesterday she was hugely active at about 6pm, but she has never moved at that time before. I can't keep up! Oh well...as long as I feel something every day I try not to worry. Though it is nice to get some really big reassuring kicks to know she is still in there!

Well it is crazy....after two weeks in the US, eating out every single day, I managed not to have a single allergic reaction. Then the first allergic reaction of my pregnancy happens in Costa five minutes from my house! :(

Not sure if I mentioned before but I have severe (life threatening) food allergies. One of these is to milk. Well, today in Costa my much lusted after chai latte came and instead of soya milk, it was regular milk...luckily my allergies are very sensitive and I could tell from the first tiny sip (my mouth starts to swell) so I obviously stopped drinking and only probably swallowed a couple of mls. But for the first time in the pregnancy I had to take my strong antihistamines :(

I am really fretting about it. I asked about it at my booking in appointment and they said try not to take any at all in the first trimester and try to avoid it after that. So for the whole of the first trimester I was so careful and literally didn't eat or drink anything I hadn't prepared myself. Managed really well - no reactions. But today I just had to take it. If I hadn't, my throat would have closed up and I would have been having my Epipen and rushing to hospital for IV steroids - surely that would be worse for baby than some antihistamines! But I am torturing myself now researching online and everything says 'there is no data on use in pregnancy, should be avoided'. Hubby has found a page on the allergy UK website that basically says take your medicine if you need to when pregnant as it is the lesser of two evils. I think I know logically that is the case but it just feels rubbish to have taken medication and not know how it is affecting her :( It completely zonks me out too so I have come to bed, and later on I will have horrible gastro symptoms from the tiny taste of milk - but I am used to that and just glad not to have had anaphylaxis anyway.

Sorry to rant, just wish it hadn't happened and hoping I have not done any harm to baby girl. :(

And you were so looking forward to the chai latte as well! Dont beat yourself up - you know you have no real choice in the matter. No good you going into shock and not breathing. I'm guessing that would be much worse for the baby!
