OMG, I rarely wear makeup and have just put mascara on to find that some of my eyelashes are so long just now they look false! Almost makes me want to trim them! I know that hair supposedly grows faster and thicker but I didn't think it would apply to lashes! Lol

Second 20 week scan went well, baby let us get the rest of the measurements and even another photo. Just the one mind, then it moved and wouldn't let us get any more!

Waiting patiently to leave for my wee sisters 18th birthday party now, 4 hours with a heavy cake on my knee is not what I call fun but needs must, then off to the sunshine tomorrow! Woohoo!!!

Hi, I've just been to the doctors again as this thing is not going. She thinks I'm on the verge of fainting but don't as I lay down before it happens. I've got to have my blood took on Monday, my pee will be sent to the lab and I've been signed off work for another week.

I am wearing my maternity swimming costume so I have some sort of support while the bras are giving me bruises.

Well I had an uneventful day, which I suppose is as it should be. Did a few calls for work, dozed in front of Andy Murray being hammered by Nadal and then walked to the GP to pick up my progesterone prescription.

Went to Tesco but their chemist didn't have progesterone. They directed me to a boots which was another little walk but I decided it was too much wandering so they are ordering in for me. DH will have to go and get it tomorrow.

BUT BUT - I had a moment of joy!!

I had to sign the back of the 'script and I said I didn't have to pay, the lady says 'I know', and gives a smile towards my tummy. I was bizarrely pleased! Bump is really making progress this week. :) (Maybe she guessed from the prescription, but I was still pleased).

All my weight worry has gone out the window. The bigger I get the bigger the baby is, and the more chance he has if he comes early. So grow belly grow!!
  • Hello just tired and busy so not been on.

Peonie boo ya to this infection. Really hope there is something they can give you to speed it up.

T2d hope working from home suits and you stay well

Lemontree what could that woman do that is worse than now? Currently you, oh and even herself appear to be miserable during your visits. Would any of you be more miserable if you stopped? Worth a try - you'll never know until you do. Can completely understand why you find this hurtful and upsetting. Have seen a few other posts around about narcissistic parents and gaslighting - don;t know enough about your situation of course but maybe some of those suggestions may help? My grandmother was a deeply unpleasant person. I once asked my mother why she forced us to spend time with her (she also made everyone, including her own son, my dad miserable) and the answer was that she's family. To this day I disagree that means someone can continually get away with bad behaviour. I have no positive memories of her other than a homemade fairy cake once. There are no good stories about her from anyone including my dad. At her funeral, my dad and aunt went plus a representative from the nursing home. When we visited her she b1tched. When we didn;t she b1tched. At least when the visits stopped I didn't have to know about the b1tching. Sorry turned that into all about me. Hope you cna find a solution that works for you. Just remember she'll never change so you have to choose between suffering with her or without her. Re unexpected visits - if you have enough space in the freezer, some kind of M&S dine in that is amendable to defrosting quickly and DH out to buy pre prepared side dishes that you pretend are your own. Or quickly book a table out for lunch and say that was plan anyway and good luck - they can fit you all in!

Tinkwings - hope you are recovering after your week in hospital.

Re school ages - my friend is a January birthday but a year ahead. This means after gaining her straight A* at 11 GCSEs and straight As at A level, when she went to cambridge she was only 17. She is now a successful lawyer earning mega bucks. I don't she could have done better academically.

Welcome to the list mr knight!

We are forking out the NCT money. Consistently recommended and think good social support is critical

Blooming hell - when I moved to mat bras at 12 weeks I jumped from a 32 DD to a 36 E. I am now on the widest setting and it's digging in already. Not to mention that the wretched things are still leaking like there's no tomorrow (or rather that they are expecting to be needed tomorrow), Assume this is it now for the rest of the pg! Wasn't thinking i'd be dealing with it this early!

Yes movements are like a small kick/thump/heartbeat. Completely missed any flutterings. Or thought they were wind.
