12-24 weeks pregnant (part 3)

Daisie the thing we are worrying about is the same, even if the cause of the worry is difference.
Admitting me is to put me on bedrest, not to deliver. Not yet.
Feeling better already, and I'll think about going to work. I think she thought I wasn't working and I forgot to ask if I should be signed off. There is a special prematurity clinic midwife who I could call tomorrow and ask. My TAC support group are also all saying stay home - but I actually feel fine, which is the hard thing!0 -
T2D nothing and I mean noting is worth risking your baby for. I'd urge you to consider being off work, all it will take is one strenuous move and you could really damage yourself. If I were you I'd be on virtually bed rest at home. It's not forever and your baby is the most important thing (and your sanity) xxx0

T2D, is there anyway you can work from home? My work would not let me but it is an option for some. Phone the midwife tomorrow, the baby is the most important person now and if it means having your feet up for a while then so be it. Couldn't they drain the water?
The other day my sister did remind me that I could have this baby in a few weeks - eeek. A childhood friend had her little one at 26 weeks, the good news is, the child is healthy.
I'm still having the not-so-funny episodes about twice a day. Today I was quite unproductive and only cleared out my pj drawer and made 2 meals.
Some of you might remember we were convinced we were having a boy despite being team yellow. We've decided that each alternate day we'll call the baby either he or she. It's working, now I'm imagining a little girl running around.
She (it's a girl day) has been listening to quite a lot of varied music for a while. I've not thought about a calming song so will need to come up with something that will not annoy me.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Oh t2d - agree that you should call mw/specialist just to confirm. My friend working in the city got taxis paid for and permission to work from home in the afternoons if she needed it. Solves the bored/mad bit.
All others unwell - peonie, alioops, freebiequeenie? - hope you are feeling better ?
Well jeal of your photo monty doggy! I am still tiny for 21 weeks.
My goodness had no idea sonographers were so rude! I now feel lucky i only had 2 scans as they were both nice and no mention of my habitas
Although 19+4 when i went the percentiles were head 72nd, abdominal 91st and femur 92nd. Better not mean he's a whopper in there...Met DH to be 2010
Moved in and engaged 2011
Married 2012
Bought a house 2013
Expecting our first 2014 :T0 -
Hmmm just googled, his head abd abdomen were 20 weeks and a bit and his femur 22 weeks at 19+4 by lmp. Having heard a third person to give birth a week before due date makes methink it's more sensible to finish at 36 than 38Met DH to be 2010

T2D - that is so worrying, I'd be up to bed and staying there (I did self-imposed 'partial bed-rest' for the first 9 weeks of this pg. Just me, a good book and the Lindt bunnies. No wonder I piled on the pounds in the first few weeks..)
I had a brief panic today when I saw some blood - then I realised it was just the piles..
+++++++
Anyone else finding the blood flow is being diverted from their brains with unfortunate consequences? In the last 24 hours, I have:
Booked a holiday for the wrong month (looks like we can transfer dates though..)
Set fire to the kettle.
Gone out and left the front door wide open.
Better then when I was pg last summer though (before the m/c) when I forgot which side of the road to drive on...0 -
Daisie, glad you're feeling better about things, I think I would have done my nut if I'd had something like that written about me! Size 12 leggings is amazing considering you have told us a few times your bmi so I don't think she has any reason to put anything like that in your notes.....I was bmi of about 25 when I started and I'd need a size 16 leggings (5ft9)! The only thing I have written in my notes from scans, apart from measurements etc, is that I have a retroverted uterus!
Not going to bother working out days to work yet, October seems sooooooo far away! Even taking into account the 13 days leave I still have to take!
Monty, you look fabulous! Mine is still pretty well hidden when I'm standing depending on what I'm wearing although today I was lying back against on of the stills at work (I work in a distillery and the stills can be nice and cosy although most of the time far too hot!) talking to one of the guys when I heard an exclamation from the other end. The other guy had walked in and got a full view of bump and decided I'm 'still shaped'. Not sure I want to be compared to something used to make whisky but at least I know it's definitely noticeable now!
As for the ears, confirmed that it is just due to the increased blood flow going around the body, no sign of infection and my blood pressure is fine. Looks like I'm just going to have to put up with it!
May have recruited another person to our thread tonight, hubby's cousin contacted me to tell me she's 11.5 weeks so was telling her about this forum and the pregnancy threads so hopefully she'll come along and join us all soon!No longer ...tobe! lilmiss, I'm starting to panic about when I'm finishing as well. Planning to work to 39 weeks, and in the last 3 days have a friend who had hers 4 days early, only 2 days after finishing work, and heard of another whose a friend of a friend who had hers 4 weeks early and hadn't even finished work! I'm also panicking as I don't want an August baby who will be the youngest in the year.
phoned the hospital with my sugar readings from this week just gone. Response - 'oh they're normal' sounding very surprised... when will they admit I don't have diabetes and therefore they will be normal.0 -
T2D. I would stay home if I were you as well as you feel. Perhaps call the hospital for clarification on what they advise if you don't think they were aware you're back at work. Is it your amniotic sac bulging? The beauty of being off (though I know you don't want to) is that at least your mat pay won't be affected and they can't force you to start mat leave yet. Obviously it'll keep you and baby boy a bit safer too.
Daisi, you're remarkably restrained! I'd have been livid at that sort of attitude! I feel vulnerable enough at scans without having some judgy mare being hideous to you!
I'm going to count my work days left now... Can't wait. Been working so much extra on-call, weekends and overtime for the past 3 months to try and boost mat pay. I am exhausted. Want nothing more than to curl up in bed and stay there for a few days. I have not found pregnancy to be the slightest relaxing- instead I seem to be busier than ever and it's really wearing me out now. Not helped by the fact that my insomnia keeps rearing its hateful head so what sleep I do get is awful. Sorry, please ignore the pity party! I'm just scared stiff of making a mistake in work as my head feels like it's full of tired cotton wool. Nearly made a massive error during overtime tonight- i'd have been gutted and it's something I can't afford to do. Already have a written warning on my file from last years debacle so the idea I came so close to making a comparable mistake really shook me up. Work too busy to call in sick at the moment but truly feel like I have nothing left and am hours away from making terrible mistakes. Eurgh.
Am going to go and try counting some sheep now! (I miss my zopiclone...)

I'm a late August baby- I really wouldn't worry about baby being the youngest in the class- i always quite liked the fact that i was 'better' than some of the older kids! I'm not a genius or anything but I was always near the top academically and physically. Know every child is different but out of me and my brothers the one who had the most difficulty was the January baby- July and August did way better! Only bad thing about August birthday is that you miss out on school birthday celebrations- unless you have a party (i didn't, mum & dad were perpetually skint). You just get older without the fuss.0
