I'm enjoying being off work now. Filling my days learning how to be a house wife, cleaning, cooking, tidying etc, seeing friends and procrastinating online lol!0

115 days, but less work days I hope! You won't want to hear this, but I'm down to 38 more working days. Last work day is 1 August, and working 4 days a week in July. CAN NOT WAIT.
You just inspired me to count how many actual work days and I even remembered to not include the bank holiday in August so I have 81 work days left, 65 days in the office and 16 days working from home. Yay sounds so much better lol plus I might choose to have a days leave as we've potentially got a 30th on the 25/07 and a wedding on the 26/07 so will need an extra day to recover.
That's cheered me up and also being at home today too.

You have got us all counting now haha. I have 85 days left not including my holiday. I am looking forward to it but slightly dreading looking after 2 kids nearly full time (dd will be at nursery 3 mornings a week).0

Well, some slightly worrying news today, that I don't quite understand. I had one of my regular mini-scans of my cervix and instead of showing a nice stable cervix with the cerclage over the top keeping it safe, it showed the water sac bulging through the cerclage.
The consultant said it was worrying, but still enough cervix is there to be comfortable enough to not admit me. Admit me!! Jaysus... I was not aware that was even a consideration just yet. I'm going back in two weeks, and starting daily progesterone again now. I got information on what to do if I get regular cramps (aka, contractions) or any blood or fluid. Basically immediately go to the hospital if anything happens. She said even if I have an appointment the next morning, go in the night before if I'm worried.
Baby suddenly feels so small and fragile. I've been told to lie down when I'm home, not too much standing, no heavy lifting of anything, and pelvic rest (ie no sex). I just want to stay at home in bed now for the next 10 weeks!! I'll just have to be hyper cautious getting to and from work, and keep very rested as much as possible.
stressful..0 -
daisy, my notes said exactly the same when they repeated my 20 week scan - effectively not clear pictures because of baby's position and maternal bmi. Makes you feel really rotten doesn't it. hugs
I daren't count the number of days I've got left at work given I won't be finishing till the 15th ish Sept.
t2d - please take it easy, sounds quite worrying but at least they let you home which I guess means they don't think anything will happen straight away. hugs.0 -
Eep t2d that is slightly worrying! Did they not want to sign you off work? I suppose maybe it is a good sign that they didn't as it means they are not as worried as they could be? But still scary!
I know exactly what you mean about baby/pregnancy feeling very fragile. I have had that feeling ever since my first bleed at 17 weeks...it was a rude awakening. I was told the same about no lifting, no strenuous activity etc last week when I was at the hospital and they discovered my eroding cervix and cervical polyp. Strangely though they didn't say no sex...which is weird...I specifically said 'is there anything I should not do?' which is when she said no lifting, exercise, lots of rest, etc - but she didn't mention sex. I should have asked but was embarrassed. Silly! Not that we have done it since anyway. I was also told to go straight to the hospital at the first sign of anything - even though I probably will bleed again they said I have to go straight in if/when I do.
Sorry, just realised it sounds like I am trying to say my situation is the same as yours - I know of course it is not ! Yours sounds much more worrying. When they say admit you, do they mean so you can be on bed rest and monitored? They don't mean to deliver very early do they...?
At least they are keeping an eye on you and on top of everything. I am going to say to you what you and everyone else said to me weeks back when I was having all the bleeding...if you don't feel good about going to work, stay at home! I know exactly how you feel because if you remember, even though I had been told I didn't need to stay at home all I wanted to do was sit very still with my feet up willing everything to be ok!
I'm sure it will be ok. You have come this far and they seem to be looking after you well. Your little man will be happily swimming around in there with no idea of the worry that is going on outside! Take it easy xx0 -

Thanks. I was not so much worried about the notes, but it was her attitude towards me! Also I suppose the fact that she felt the need to write it in such terms on the note, even though she was clearly comfortable enough with the images she had got to not need me to go back again. My 20 week scan just said 'slightly unclear view of heart due to maternal habitas, requested rescan at 23 weeks' whereas this time it says something like 'extremely poor image quality due to maternal BMI' or something. Just seems unnecessarily harsh compared with what was said at 20 weeks especially as the images were clearer this time as the heart is bigger!
Oh well. I really am over it...!0
