12-24 weeks pregnant (part 3)

Up until yesterday I have only been scanned by lovely people. I suppose that is why it was such a shock yesterday. Never mind...I am over it!
I used my dreamgenii pillow last night and was soooo comfortable. I couldn't get on with it when I first bought it but not sure if it is because my bump is bigger now or something but it is really good now. I'm glad, because it was not cheap!0 -
I've got 12 scars across my lower stomach. I assume that's why no matter how much weight I lose I can never tone up the lower tummy area. My oh loves me as I am and says I've never looked better so the hospital do gooders can bog off! I've lost weight since getting pregnant, at the start I was 16st exactly which my consultant didn't believe she said I don't look it, then I lost just under a stone and a half. I'm now 15 3 and my bump is getting big, which means I've lost weight in the right places and gaining bump nicely. I'll try and post a pic in a min. Excuse the messy house we are decorating0

just delurking to say I was a size 12ish, not exactly sure of my BMI when I had my 12 and 20 week scans it says on both my notes something like 'poor quality images due to patients body habitus' which I googled and basically meant I had a chubby tummy so they couldn't see clearly!
the thing is the scan was really clear and she did all the checks really easily. I googled it and you can get other people's experiences, it had even been written on people's notes who were a size 8-10 so I think the sonographers are basically covering their backs by saying it, so don't let it get you down! xx0 -
Managed to chop my head off0 -
Great picture Monty! Very jealous of your bump.
Firey - that is actually reassuring. Thanks. I also had a scan at FMC in Harley street at 12 weeks and got quite clear images through the abdomen, although they did do an internal for a few things. He said it was because I had a fibroid covering the lower part of the baby which I could see, as on the scan the baby was perfectly clear on the top half, but simply disappeared below the fibroid.
So I suspect it is a combination of quality of scanning image and sonographer skill.0 -

Lovely picture Monty and I though you said it was a messy house lol. Oh and just wondering if you've heard anything with regards to your grievance yet?
Glad that the scan showed everything was fine but sorry that you had a bad sonographer. I don't medical people realise how a throw away comment they make can have such a big impact on the patient.
Welcome Mr Knight this is definitely a thread to talk about anything and everything so feel free to ask away.
Wendz haven't heard of that program. Found it on ITVplayer will watch it now.
AFM after my mini breakdown on Monday I went back to work yesterday and starting crying in the car on the way there so turns out I don't want to go to work as it's turned into such a horrible !!!!!y catty place to be. I've decided on my maternity leave dates just so that I can get away from there as quickly as possible so will take 4 weeks leave then start mat leave making my last day the 26th September or 115 days to go (incl today).
Hope everyone else is doing well.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

115 days, but less work days I hope! You won't want to hear this, but I'm down to 38 more working days. Last work day is 1 August, and working 4 days a week in July. CAN NOT WAIT.0
