Laila that sounds rubbish. I could not be dealing with that right now! In my opinion you should give the group a miss until after the baby comes and then think about it again, but obviously it has to be your decision.
Obviously it is important to try and be healthy but this is not the right time to be worrying about a number on the scales, especially as you were a healthy BMI to begin with. The only time I would worry would be if the midwife or doctor said there was an issue. Otherwise, you are pregnant! You are going to gain weight. Even aside from the fat stores that your body is building to help with breastfeeding, your blood volume has increased, boobs have got bigger, there is the placenta, amniotic fluid, baby, and even things like I read your heart gets bigger to pump the extra blood around. It all weighs!0 -
Laila that's awful. Why are you slimming when you've a perfectly healthy bmi? You should enjoy your food while pg and although eat in moderation, have what you fancy. I'd give it a break until after baby because it's not good for you and the upset can't be good for baby either. Xx0

Daisiegg we've bought a lovely mink coloured carpet for the baby's room. It's a lovely fluffy pile and has flecks of shades of mink, brown and cream so it's very neutral and will not show up dirt
it's gorgeous and will go with pink blue cream or lemon. I'm doing my nursery lemon I think. Well lemon bedding and curtains and I might split the walls and do pale blue at the bottom but not sure if that's too male.
Once baby is a year or so it will either be a princess pink room or something boyish. I'm hoping princess pink0 -
LailaP - doesn't sound like they are being very supportive. I gained over 3 stone last time in total but i lost it all after so don't stress.0

Laila that is ridicolous. BMI is not designed for pregnant women - it's a rough estimate of % of fat in your body for a standard body type, so it simply does not apply when you are pregnant.
See this from the NHS website: "Before you get pregnant you can use the BMI healthy weight calculator to work out if you are overweight. But once you're pregnant this may not be accurate."
If your BMI is between 18-25 you are supposed to aim for 25-35 pound gain in pregnancy. It doesn't change your BMI in my opinion, as the weight gain is what is required for a healthy child and pregnancy. I think you should forget slimming world if they are going to be so silly as to apply a BMI measure against a pregnant woman.0 -

This is the issue Monty, I'm not slimming, I have previously lost weigh with SW but continue to go to group to keep me on the straight and narrow. You are allowed to go for free whilst preggers and I thought it would encourage me to keep eating healthy even though I would be gaining weight. Instead they are making me feel like I should be either losing or maintaining.0 -
Thank you all for the replies. I think giving it a miss for now is the sensible thing as like others have said, it can't be good for me or the baby stressing about my weight at this time.
I just wasn't sure if I was being silly or not but it is out of order going on about my BMI right now isn't it!!
I will just continue to eat healthy and accept the weight gain, if others don't like it they can shove it!0 -

If you've lost weight before with sw you can do it again. Leave for now and enjoy your pregnancy. With your bmi I bet you look fab with your bump. I'm off to buy vanilla slices in a min. The baby wants one:rotfl:

You are right, I can do it again. Now is not the time to worry about it. Thank you
Enjoy you vanilla slice. I've just got myself a massive thing of cooked chicken (cannot get enough of it right now) oh and treated myself to some Tena lady :rotfl:0 -

How prepared is your work bluebell?! I know my place won't recruit until i've left and that person won't start then for about a month. It takes about 6 months to be competant at what I do so they'll not have long!
I'm a lecturer so they have to have someone in place who can cover my teaching in September, or there will be major problems!
I stopped taking folic acid when I ran out of tablets. I kept forgetting to take them anyway, so they lasted until about 2 weeks ago.
Laila, SW sounds very rude!
Daisie, we have a beige flecked carpet in DS's room. Short pile. Doesn't show dirt etc very easily, and with the amount of milky vomit that's landed on it, an easy to clean, pale-ish and stain resistant carpet is the way to go!
I managed to get away with only reading Kipper to DS twice last night0
