12-24 weeks pregnant (part 3)

I'm going to keep taking it. I had tons of Pregnacare Conception and the midwife said it was fine to take rather than the ones for pregnancy as it had the folic acid and vitamin D. She said there was no need to stop taking it after 12 weeks and I figure I might as well use them up.0

I've not felt any more movements since the other day but it's very early yet. We can't afford to pay for classes so I'm doing the nhs ones. They are fully booked up until august so I'm hoping they will be full when I'm on mine. It's only 4 sessions.
Sorry I had such a rant yesterday. I had an awful day and to top it all off I almost fainted in the shower. I had to lie down I was dizzy and very shakey.
I have another little embarrassing problem, I'm peeing about 15 times a day and I think my bladder is leaking a bit. I'm off to buy some tena lady and make a dr appt today! I've read it's normal and pelvic floor excercises can help but it's so embarrassing!0 -

Hope you feel a bit better today Monty.0 -

I feel your pain monty, I too seem to have developed this little problem. It seemed to start after one of my big coughing fits the other day so I hope I haven't broken myself :rotfl:
Oh the joys of pregnancy!0 -
Glad I'm not alone! I feel so embarrassed! I showered and changed underwear twice yesterday. My oh was so sweet and offered to go but me some towels.
On another note I'm such an idiot. Last bank holiday we went to a park and I used my sat nav. I've not seen it since then and really needed it last week. My oh was convinced I'd left car open and it's been stolen. I found it last night In The vegetable drawer of the fridge!!!!
Talk about baby brain!0 -
I went to my Slimming World group last night and have now put on 18lb. According to a website I found it should be more like 15lb max at this point.
I personally wasn't too worried but my leader started questioning me on the scales about what I was eating and made me feel really rubbish. I told her I wasn't going to worry too much at this point but then she decided to question me again in front of the whole group and I left feeling really upset.
I don't know if I am being over-sensitive and hormonal and maybe she was trying to be helpful? I thought that still going to my meeting would keep me in the right frame of mind and help me lose weight after the baby but instead I find myself feeling carp about myself.
Last week we had a stand in leader who knows I am pregnant but she decided to start making comments about my BMI and wrote it in my book for some reason! My BMI was only 23 something when I got my BFP so it's not like I was a big girl but she had to make a point that it was over 25 now.
On the bit of paper that the MW had to sign it to say I can still go to SW, it says that as leaders are not medical professionals they shouldn't be giving advice on weight/gain or loss during pregnancy and they should just weigh me basically.
So I guess I am asking, am I being over-sensitive and reading too much into these comments etc? Do you think I should give Slimming World a break until after the baby because am I going to end up feeling even more rubbish or am I going to go off the rails and get massive?0 -
Oh my iPad just did the stupid thing where I was typing a message, went to a different tab to look at something, and then when I returned to this tab it refreshed and lost the message! Grrrrr.
I must say it is amazing to be feeling really strong, proper movements. I didn't expect to be able to feel it so early because I am overweight so I am really glad. Mind you, I hope I get used to it soon because she was keeping me awake last night! She is wriggling around like a little lunatic again now...does she never sleep?!
Really excited that the baby's room is being decorated this weekend! One wall being papered in very pale pink paper and the other walls painted a fry pale lemon (almost closer to a cream colour). That way if we have a boy next we can just repaper the one wall and not repaint the rest. Just need to sort out a carpet....any ideas what colour would work? Want something that hides the dirt but is not too dark as it won't go. Hmmm.0
