My whole point of coming on here was to say don't forget to use £co or TCB when buying online. I only remembered to last night.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Teaandcake can you have all that pain relief at a home birth? I was on the understanding it's not available? It would be like having a whole theatre at home?0

In our area the midwives bring gas and air over, you can hire a TENS from our local SureStart centre if you want one. They won't give anything stronger (though I think some areas will). I decided to keep my plan flexible - got all the risk assessments etc for a home birth, but was prepared to go into hospital if I wasn't coping with the pain and needed something stonger. In the end I barely needed the G&A, and went into labour 2 days before I was due to pick up the TENS machine! But that doesn't work for everyone so I'd say just keep your options open

Maybe it depends on the area. I must admit it is not something I have looked into as I won't be having a home birth. But I'm sure I had read that the midwife brings gas and air and pethidine...but I could also be wrong!!0 -
Just thought I would show you our little alien baby from our gender scan at 19+4... Apologies for the bad quality of the pic as I have just photographed the scan on my iPad. But you can kind of see her!0

Every scan we have had so far she has had one or other of her arms up by her head like that....my mum bets she will sleep like that when she's here!0

Welcome to the Newbies
Loving the scan pics
We were toying with the idea of having a 4D scan but then saw the price of them and couldn't find a voucher or anything so have decided against it for now although that could change if sproglet misbehaves at the 20 week scan and won't let us find out whether it's a he or a she.
Nothing much going on here now, just a few stretchy type pains and still a painful shoulder.
With regards to a birth plan I'm not able to use the birthing centre so will be in the more medical delivery suites but that's fine. I think my plan will be whatever needs doing do it and give me whatever pain relief is needed lol. We're both well aware that with my problems (neurological condition and issues with my hips) that the likelihood of an elective c-section is very high but at least we're prepared to hear those words.
Hope you all have a nice day, currently working from home with the doors and windows open to air the house and it's great.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D
