lilmiss, I'm convinced that I was feeling baby when I feel the pressure, it was the only thing in the space so what else could it be. Any my sister who's had 4 children said she felt it like that as well. I certainly didn't feel the moving/ bubbles bit until the day after my 20 week scan0

Thanks feel better for hearing that - what had almost convinced me was when DH put his hand on there, the pressure went away like someone had moved...Met DH to be 2010
Moved in and engaged 2011
Married 2012
Bought a house 2013
Expecting our first 2014 :T0 -
I'm glad that you won't have to wait too much longer for your scan. Are you finding out whether you'll be pink or blue?
I'm really impressed with the snugglbundl too, haven't shown it to hubby yet but it would make me feel safer when I'm home alone with sproglet.
Xx
Yes we really want to find out. Think there's lots of us around the same time and someone is same day as me.Met DH to be 2010

Sorry to leap in and do no personals - but my ankles has disappeared!!
Time for some solid 'feet up' time. Hope this isn't a permanent thing...
T2D, I've had this for 2 weeks now (18+4) and midwife basically told me to sit at night with the feet raised above the level of the heart to get the swelling back down. I have one ankle and foot that swells worse than the other, so much so that the tattoo on top of it partially looks like it's on the side!
I'm trying to get moving a lot more at work so that I'm not just sitting in one places all the time and can get the circulation going. I've also been checked by the docs for obvious signs of thrombosis and I'm getting flight socks this weekend in preparation for the hols!
Doesn't seem like there's much we can do about it I'm afraid
Oh, I also go to sleep at night with my feet on their own pillow. It's sooooo comfy!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Good morning.
So sorry for those suffering with swollen ankles. You can buy cooling sprays in boots/super drug that will really help. I used them when I broke my foot and it was huge. The physio recommended them.
I've just booked my ante natal classes. We get three sessions and it's not until sept. She offered me august but we are on holiday then. They are free and run by the midwife at our hospital. Best part is they are in the evening to my oh can come with me. I wasn't going to bother but I'm getting more and more nervous and it might help me.
Has anyone discussed birthing plans with their mw yet? I've got to do that at 25 weeks but I don't really know what my options are. I understand you can have a home birth or a water birth but I don't think either if those appeal to me, the water birth seems messy and I'd feel uncomfortable being naked!0 -
Thanks for the tips Mrs_c. They are a little better this morning, but I will put them up properly tonight. I think I have been doing a bit too much to be honest.
Monty - I don't think you have to be naked for a water birth. They aren't on OBEM (which is my only frame of reference for this). But, then again, on OBEM they seem to be nicely made up half the time, so that's probably not normal either!
I'm worrying myself a bit today. I'm getting random pains across my tummy, and sore thighs like I get when I get period cramps. No actual cramps, but since cramps come from your cervix, and I don't really have one, I may not get that feeling. Hmm... and backache. I've been getting stretching pains around the side of the belly, but this is definately across.
It could be the TAC taking over I suppose, but doesn't feel great.
I've got a scan on Friday so I'm reluctant to call for no reason, but it is worrying me a little. Can anyone reassure me with similar pains?0 -
Quick addition for London ladies.
As I wasn't feeling well this morning, I plucked up the courage to wear my baby-on-board tube badge. A lovely (and very attractive if I may say) man immediately offered me a seat.
I was very self-conscious, but then almost a bit weepy I was so thankful!0 -
I've had all sorts of aches and pains. The consultant told me it's everything stretching. I've also had period type cramps but they have been more related too needing the toilet.
If you are getting lots of pains I'd call your consultant and get the reassurance you need because the stress and anxiety can do worse than the actual pain.0 -
Monty I do also have some digestive problems, I think I've gone a bit overboard of fruit and fibre, so it's probably related to that. I'll give it a few hours and see if anything improves before calling.
It's bad I know, but I just can't face more doctors appointments!0 -
Sorry not been around a huge amount, feeling really rough, but am reading.
Just wanted to say I am constantly getting cramps/pains/aches/twinges in my bump, sides, thighs, back. I get a really bad pulling/stabbing pain when I turn over and some days I have what I would swear was period pain if I didn't know I was pregnant. Usually these days coincide with more delightful stretchmarks appearing so I am thinking it is just growing. I can feel baby moving a lot now though and I think that probably helps erasure me that things are ok. Hope you feel better and do call someone if you are worried.
