I started feeling what I think was the baby at about 17 weeks, but it wasn't movements it was like something pressing up on a part of my insides, but I have been feeling definite movements since I was 20 weeks, and just before the weekend could actually feel them on the outside. Obviously baby stopped when hubby tried to feel as well. Baby was very active during an 'exciting' meeting this afternoon glad someone enjoyed the meeting! but it does feel weird and offputting when you're getting kicked from the inside.

Peonie the familyfix base is £107.99 at Babies R Us available on the website.

TCOD it's not what you spend it's what you do with your baby that will make the memories. I remember so many occasions of just having a games night with my family, us kids would choose which record to play and then we'd pick a different board game.

We're against technology babysitting kids until they get to a certain age. The other weekend hubby and I were out for lunch and grandparents had grandson for the day and the whole time that we were there they ignored grandson as they were playing on their phones. Poor kid was trying to entertain himself by playing drums using his cutlery. They were even using them while they were eating. Our niece has also told us that she has a TV and DVD player in her room and she's 7 years old which I think is way too young. I didn't have a TV in my room until I moved back to the UK 8 years ago lol.

I think I might be starting to feel sproglet as well but really not too sure as I'm only 16 + 1 but it feels like somethings rolling around in there lol.

Back at work properly tomorrow and really not looking forward to it. The away day was a load of b*ll*cks where we were basically told 'oh we have to make saving up until 2017/2018 as well as implement all these new changes that are being brought but we won't have the resources available so you'll be more stretched than you already are'. Really need to get a new job but will have to wait until after mat leave.

  • Those who feel pains I get those when turning (particularly in bed).

I really don't have much of a bump. I have no energy. I possibly felt some movement yesterday but to be honest have been downcast since last week by feeling nothing so think it is probably just wind and wishful thinking. Lemontree - brief moment of hope there - I also felt a pressure from inside.

Scan on Friday - hoping all is well with my small bump and non movement sensing :(

Off to lurk again as if i don't have anything nice to say I shouldn't say anything at all.

    19 weeks today.
    Met DH to be 2010
    Moved in and engaged 2011
    Married 2012
    Bought a house 2013
    Expecting our first 2014 :T
  • PS when we got our ridiculous £5.75 pram and travel system it also came with an isofix. Not sure what that has to do with anything.

We have also had a lend of some mat clothes, a jumperoo, toys and another friend is offering baby slings and all sorts. V lucky.

Oh lilmis this is the perfect place to have a hormonal pity party. When's your 20 week scan and is there any chance of moving it sooner or speaking to your midwife about your concerns?

That's a brilliant bargain for a pram and travel system. I wish that hubby and I had done a bit more research and looking but we got caught up in the moment but from now on anything else is being hunted down as cheaply as possible.

Sorry for going a bit ranty in my previous post but once I'm on my soapbox I can't stop.

Sorry to leap in and do no personals - but my ankles has disappeared!!

Time for some solid 'feet up' time. Hope this isn't a permanent thing...

This Friday coming so need at all for it to be moved. There is a lady at work who didn't feel anything until 24 weeks and she has a lovely little girl so like to think of that. Think it makes sense to just wait. Thanks for the thoughts.

We weren't sure if the car seat etc would be safe but it turned out that lady we bought it off ebay is friends with a lady from my work so we know it's safe. Plus now have a lend of another from a friend so going to see which works in the car. Am determined on a snugglbundl too (thanks to whoever brought this to my attention) so we can leave the car seat in the car hopefully when we're home.

I'm glad that you won't have to wait too much longer for your scan. Are you finding out whether you'll be pink or blue?

I'm really impressed with the snugglbundl too, haven't shown it to hubby yet but it would make me feel safer when I'm home alone with sproglet.

    Xx
