Omg I would put a complaint in writing and state you feel discriminated against because of your pregnancy. That's disgusting behaviour!
I'm sorry you've had such a crappy day
Big hugs xx0 -
Well I have decided not to go in tomorrow either. Everyone is back on Friday so I will go in then and have a chat. Im glad you agree as on the surface it may seem like genuine concern but I know it to be more!
Hope everyone else has had a *god* day:)
Good even! lol, I was not getting religious on you all0 -
Bleugh.
Left work an hour early as was super organised and got everything done and forgo the extra which is unlike me. Had a 90 minute sleep when I got in and still exhausted. Wondering if mini me if having some kind of growth spurt, this is feeling more like the early days
Lixi - pants. As if this is isn't all hard enough and scary enough.
Jen - good for you. Stay off and stuff 'em. No-one has genuine concern that late in the day.
Daisiegg - at halloween my mother used to put a sign on the door saying 'baby sleeping, please only ring if important.' Seemed to work.
Bed. Sleep. Long day tomorrow with early start and it's hubby final exam for his English Lit BA so we are celebrating in the evening by going to the local college to try their dinner - very money saving! :money:Met DH to be 2010
Moved in and engaged 2011
Married 2012
Bought a house 2013
Expecting our first 2014 :T0 -
Lilmissreading I know what you mean about being tired. This week has been really hard. I think I told you guys I went to bed hungry on Monday as DH was out and I was too tired to make any food! I just went to bed and took some toast with me.
Today I got home and DH had made me dinner, but he said it was going to be 45 minutes. So I immediately thought 'I can squeeze in a nap'! Although I was woken by the door, some stupid local politicians again. Grrrrr
Jenand that sounds really frustrating, and illegal. I think going back on Friday when you have a chance to be less stressed and upset is a good idea. And texting so late is just embarassingly unprofessional.0 -
Wow I can not believe I am so upset over this all. I feel like I have everything and they cherry on the cake is our little one on the way so how can I be feeling like this?! Pregnancy hormones?
I intend to make clear the upset and stress caused could be more damaging than a few hours on my feet! I can not wait for DH to get home from work, he makes me feel so at ease and calm.
I have stopped answering the door as it is only ever charity collectors, the bible brigade or the window cleaner lol.0 -
I've been suffering for a sore shoulder now for nearly 2 weeks, it's got to the stage where it feels like it's burning deep inside and I actually feel like I'm starting to carry it. Normally I'd take some anti inflammatory but obviously can't use them just now. Anyone any suggestions?
Hope ur all well and managing to sleep/avoid the doorbells.
Jen, that's awful you've been treated like that, you're pregnant not ill or unfit for work. The boss needs to have a serious word with himself about his behaviour....No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Morning all. Sorry I have not posted much the last couple of days...been reading but just knackered!
I had to leave work early yesterday as I just felt awful. Exhausted and faint and dizzy. I think it is the low blood pressure but I am also wondering if I've got low iron levels or something too. Surely it is not normal to feel like this? My apps/books etc say that I should have loads of energy at this stage! Ha!
I am 20 weeks today and have my anomaly scan this afternoon. Hubby is away for business so my mum is coming with me. I am slightly nervous although I am hoping that any big problems would have been noticed at our gender scan or at the scan we had at 17 weeks after the bleeding. But who knows.
Need to go back to sleep now...I just woke up to put a note on the door as I am expecting some parcels today...but I am knackered! Not working today luckily so going to rest and try to go in tomorrow.
I will post personals later, sorry not to right now,but I have been reading xx0 -
Good luck for the scan today Daisie, and enjoy the sleep in.0

hi lovely ladies, sorry I've not been on much lately, have been spending most nights doing some DIY in preparation for getting our hall and baby's room plastered. Then crashing out super tired. We have sooooo much to do and its stressing me out!
Re the chat about what to get etc, I am fortunate that my sister has two wee ones, so we'll be getting the following from her
Bugaboo Chameleon
Cot
High Chair
Stair gates (when the time comes)
Baby bath
Bumbo seat (is that what its called?)
Baby door bouncer thing
Assorted Lamaze toys (including play mats and a ring thing)
Cot and crib bedding
Various gender neutral baby grows/muslins etc
Breast pump
Anything else she has lying around that she wants to get rid of!
My folks are keen to buy something, so I think I'll ask them to give her some money for the above and then buy new mattresses for everything that we'll need (pram, cot etc)
Hoping to borrow a crib and jamberoo jungle bouncer thing from some extended family and to ask friends if they have a moses basket we can borrow.
So, that just leaves a car seat (in case I've forgotten anything ladies?) which we're hoping that MIL will buy so thinking we might get off quite lightly having to buy stuff. Which is great as I'd rather save the money to allow me to have extra time off or to do lovely mummy stuff when I'm on mat leave. Need to save some pennies in case I want to take any time in the non-paid 3 months.
Sorry for those of you having a tough time at the mo, hugs.
Monty - have your work said anything re your complaint yet?
Jen - defo let them know you are not happy, very unprofessional behaviour!
T2D - I feel ya re being too lazy to cook, often its a battle between hunger and lying on the sofa and often the sofa wins! (with some crisps or something!)
Peonie/WTDN - how are you lovely ladies?
Daisy - how is being back at work? Really hope you can take it easy.
Mrs C - no advise re shoulder, sorry! I would call your GP or midwife though, sounds like its being going on a wee bit too long and is only getting worse.
lilmiss - hope you enjoy your dinner, I've heard local catering colleges are great for good food reasonably priced.
Laili - best to go with the flow, but good they are keeping an eye on you.
Lixi - hope all is ok re the slap cheek. Keep us posted.

Almost 16 weeks!0 -
Thanks SewIt, off to doc this afternoon to see what he says, feels awful today.
Didn't have a great start to the day, moody 12 year old was the worst he's been this week, always the same on a Thursday when his dad's abroad working. Apparently it's all my fault though. It's going to be fun come October. I left him in no doubt what I think of the situation and I'm leaving it all to him when he gets home, I'll do nothing for my step-son as apparently I'm just getting it all wrong so he can whistle when he wants me to help. He's going to be the one to cook and clean every single day and I'm not going to lift a finger. See how he likes the tables being turned.
Can you guess I'm totally ratted off? Had to hide in the loo already today as I've now got my replacement sharing my office so I can't sit and cry at my desk in peace! No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000
