That is an interesting theory about baby turning!
We can take things like Rennies and Gaviscon, wind-eze is good or Rennies Deflatine. Can you tell I am a bit of an expert?!
Meant to also add Mrs C glad your appointment went well and you got to hear the heartbeat0 -
are we allowed windeze then? if so that's good as I think I've some in the house0

Yep http://www.nhs.uk/medicine-guides/pages/MedicineOverview.aspx?medicine=Wind-eze%20tablets
Obviously it is your decision but I ignore the bit that says 'but consult your doctor if you are pregnant' - EVERYTHING says that! The fact that it says 'not known to cause problems' is good enough for me as lots of things don't say that. Also I have an American version that has the same active ingredient and that one says it is fine in pregnancy. Anyway, I lived off it for a few weeks and seem fine!0 -
How unpleasant daisiegg. I have low blood pressure but is family thing and always been like that for me. Will have to watch out.Thinking about it I do get more dizzy than usual so will watch out for that.
Also I don't think I said but Emily Oster covers sleeping positions in her book and says sleeping on your back is only a problem if YOU find it a problem but do double check I've remembered that right.
Mrs C yay heartbeat!
Everyone is so organised with their swimwear buying. Has anyone bought a birthing ball thing? My pg yoga is having a birthing ball session in 2 weeks and I don't have one and don't know if I'll bother. The yoga I go to is apparently not like normal yoga (never done but Mrs 30 weeks was telling me at the class) but lots of stretching, breathing and relaxing. On Saturday we did hip and back stretches which were really helpful for me.
Good bargain hunting jen.
Lemon tree and jen - I have not enjoyed pg. My family look slightly shocked when I say this. I liked the 12 week scan and hearing the heartbeat. I like the start of a bump. The rest has sucked.Met DH to be 2010

Good evening all
I've spent the day with my friend doing lots of quizzes about baby gender prediction! Lots of fun!
Has anyone picked up Emma's diary packs yet? Is there anything decent in them? The bounty one wasn't great mostly junk leaflets!
How far were you all when you started ante natal classes/yoga etc? Do you have to pay for them? Where do you get info from? I can't find much info near where I live. Wondering If I'm too early yet.
I just decided I'd have a nice radox bath, two mins in my cat walked in and threw up on bathroom floor! Had to shout OH away from the football as it was knocking me sick! Haha he's cleaned it for me0 -
Monty-Doggy-I picked up my Emma's Diary Mum to be one today, 4 pack of newborn nappies, mini tube of barrier cream, sachet of Palmers Firming Butter, and a Johnsons pack with baby bath, baby oil, nappy cream, sensitive wipes, and a booklet on how to survive the first 10 days. The wipes appear to be full size, and the baby oil seems a good size (Johnsons stuff's in its own bag so I thought I'd leave it there for now, just gave it a good feel) There's a load of leaflets as well, no money off coupons on em tho! I went to Argos for it. Not sure if the Boots ones have different contents.
Ewww about the cat btw0 -
That sounds better than my bounty pack0

I was a bit disappointed with the Bounty pack I got at 12 week scan, but the next one was a bit better. I picked it up from Asda as they gave away an extra freebie and I'd heard of people getting muslin squares (v handy) but I got scratch mitts instead and they seem HUGE (I'm guessing 3-6 months rather than newborn). I did get a nice hooded towel thingy in there, and some baby toiletries which I've squirrelled away.0

Having never done yoga before and not having done any exercise in a while I wanted to get into the habit early. I went to my first class at 13 weeks and am now 17 weeks (had the 2 week gap for holiday and Easter). If you know yoga or were exercising before there is nothing to stop you from carrying on with non contact sports. As it was new to me I thought I start easy.
The swimming I have added in now while I have more energy - hoping to raise my fitness levels to make later pg easier. The yoga is to maintain flexibility and more for birth.
Swimming is at the council pool and about £4 something. The pg yoga is £8 for 90 mins. The antenatal hydrotherapy is £30 for 6 sessions if you block book and each session is 30 mins.
Toodle pip and goodluck credit crunch! Lord knows how far back the list is buried now...Met DH to be 2010
