  • I'm 21+3. I have a visible bump now and I can't hold it in anymore. OH keeps pointing it out proudly to people (that we know- he isn't that weird yet thankfully!) like a child who's showing off something they've made. It's a bit embarrassing but I'm letting him have his way as we never thought we'd get here by ourselves.

There's a lady in my daisy class who is 30 weeks- she's very petite in build and height and her bump amazes me everytime I see it- I can't believe she's still got so much of the growing phase left as it doesn't look possible! I can't imagine having a bump like that still! :)

If it helps I couldn't see what kicked- it was more the effect of the kick. Had the ipad not been there then I wouldn't have thought it was an external kick iykwim? :)

I've definitely started to get my bump under the fat, but I did feel a bit thin whilst sat for my scan today, I'm sure there were a couple of ladies there for 20 week scans and they were bigger than me.

our bump is nicknamed Little sausage after it's first scan but that many change to monster munch after today's performance :)

I can't wait to feel baby moving! That's one of those things that when friends were pregnant and I got to feel it, made me well up with emotion and envy!

New look online has a good range of maternity clothes and I'm normally size 18 in there but in maternity I'm a 16 :) I bought a lovely pair of white mat linen pants and some vest tops for my holidays from there today :)

Mamafit do free classes but they are all in the day

Thanks WTDN, I'll have a look. I think I might start doing the Tracy Anderson pregnancy DVDs but I still want to do yoga at some point. I might start the daisie classes later in the 3rd trimester.

Well I know that recently I've been having trouble with socks feeling tight at the top, and today my work shoes (safety shoes) that are slip one felt tight. Tonight once I'd had dinner it was socks and shoes off, slippers on. As the night went on my legs got itchy. I just got undressed for bed and found that I have hugely swollen ankles, the size I normally get whilst abroad and it's really hot. I hope it's not the start of that already, it's too early (in my head anyway!).

I messaged mamafit on fb to see if they are planning any evening classes and their response was basically 'no- but you can take time off work for antenatal classes and appointments'. Can just imagine the carp I'd get for that in work! I think it would make life quite difficult for me if I tried to get there during work hours (for something that isn't a hospital/ midwife appointment). Still, thought it might be useful for you to know if you're more able to leave your work. :) Looks like I'll have to pay for my antenatal exercise stuff instead which is a pita cos money is tight!

I've found one yoga class in South Liverpool but their new term has just started (it's a 6 week programme) so I'll have to wait until the next one. I definitely have to start doing more exercise though before my bum turns completely square! :) Have joined lifestyles on the pool membership only but haven't gone at all yet- haven't even picked up my membership card which is shocking seeing as I could spit and hit the side of the sports centre from my house! Lazy pie.
  • MrsC- i've had to start wearing sports socks (the trainer liner type ones) as the lines my socks were leaving on my ankles made it look like someone had sewn feet onto me! Maybe they'd help a little?

Peonie, I have the polka dot swimsuit from M&S. Though I had to get it in a size 18  when all my maternity clothes from Next are a 14. It doesn't seem to have much stretch.
