Yay t2d! I really do think I have felt little movements for the past couple of weeks. Though of course I can't be absolutely sure and maybe in a while I will start to feel 'real' movements and realise that all this time I have been thinking it was baby and it never was!0

Oh and work probably does make you nauseous cos work is stupid. And the tube is enough to make anyone sick, pregnant or not! I always boil to death on the tube.0

I've thrown away my scales. Well, not literally but they've been ignored since I found out I'm preggers. I know I've put on at least a stone since Christmas, probably more like as tone and a half. Wasn't too impressed after last scan when they insisted on weighing me when I still had a full bladder!
Off to midwife tomorrow for 16 week appt at 16+6.No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Good luck tomorrow MrsC, are you hoping they will listen to the heartbeat? They did at mine but I have heard lots of people say they don't until later in their area.0

No idea. I don't know anyone that's had my midwife so can only wait and see what she does! Would be nice to hear it though. Also wil be interesting to hear what she says as they found at the scan I've got a retroverted uterus. One of the guys at work was saying his wife has too and she ended up having a section both times as first baby was totally distressed as she was struggling to give birth naturally. Will wait and see.....No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000

My mum has one and had a c section with me but went on to have normal deliveries with the rest. Beyond that I don't know any more about it !0 -
Phew, caught up at last!
I had a normal BMI (23.7) according to my mat notes. We don't have scales in the house. I think I weighed myself around Christmas time and based on my hazy memory of what this was compared to what it was at my 7 week booking in appointment suggested a 5kg weight gain at the point. Haven't weighed myself since then which was end of Feb and can't imagine I'm going to. Going to be interesting though as I've always relied on fitting into my clothes for weight management...
Sewit - welcome and sorry to hear about your stresses. So glad to hear it has been found to be nothing significant in the end but must have been hideous. Thanks for the understanding. I viewed myself and DH as in the not trying to prevent pg camp rather than trying properly so it was a surprise and very pleasing that it happened easily. We are very appreciative of our good luck.
MrsC - we got tot hear the heart beat doon South. Mw said to DH he could record it and we have now brought tears to the eyes of relatives up and down the country with it.
Re pg symptoms (look away there is some tmi) - I have been 'to the loo' if you catch my drift as least twice a day over the last 3-4 days. Headaches are relentless and unamusing. Drinking helps. Yes to the stuffy nose. V common and apparently the snoring only gets worse in the third trimester (googled the other day).
17+1 - no movements I am aware of but definitely getting a bump now on its way.
There was something else I was going to say but it's fallen out of my head. Exhausted after DH talking in his sleep between 10pm and 1am plus he kept doing that 'falling off a cliff' thing and jerking me awake. At one point I said to him:
Me: 'Are you awake?'
Him: 'No.'
Me: 'Well can you stop talking then?'
Him: 'Ok.'

Oh and a website I read suggested giving a nickname to your unborn child. I am conflicted as we do actually. Like you monty-doggy - I knew very early (about week and a half post conception) and we therefore started calling them millimetre which has naturally shortened to Milly and stuck. The conflict comes from being afraid to bond with a little someone who is facing a long journey ahead of them and heaven forbid something happens, will that make it harder? However, it feels natural and I like believing in better. Ho hum.Met DH to be 2010

Re getting pregnant. I've been at it for 4 years, including IVF, hundreds of appointment, even a bit of cancer blah blah. But you know, it's all behind us now (touch wood) so it all just feels worth it. Maybe it's like childbirth - once it's done you forget about the pain.
I reserve the right to change my mind, but for the moment I'm just happy to be here, and each step before was needed to get me here, so such is life.0 -
I've been giving oh weekly updates in relation to fruit and veg about the size of the baby so he keeps asking how's my little avocado or plum or whatever it is that week
all the emails I get from cow and gate, Emma's diary and aptimel put it in that context!
